Altered? No, I did not say that at all. Please read more carefully, in context of the part I quoted. If you recall, Trump did not have the popular vote. Riots ensued across the country, with people complaining about how the win for Trump was not fair, as if the Electoral College was somehow a flawed system for choosing the president. So saying this current situation is unique seems erroneous.
The popular vote is meaningless in a representative republic. It’s tyranny of the large states and cities.

Indeed That is a what the left was crying About 4 yrs ago.

So what? That is thankfully how our Constitution is formed.

There is a process in place to change or make amendments.

None of that had anything to do with the fraud perpetrated in this election.

The whole point of the article is to say “hey, we don’t like or have anything in common with you, you don’t like or have anything in common with us, let’s call it a day and become autonomous”.

Final point, the left did cause havoc after the last election BECAUSE Hillary didn’t win. NOT because anything illegal happened. There was video upon video of Trump voters getting assaulted.

Honestly

Some of the responses from never Trumpers here sound like their brains are on cruise control with a CD on loop.
Honestly, we’re like a Trump roller coaster, always in for a loop hole.

No, they believed Hillary won the popular vote and therefore was the winner.
While she did have more votes than Trump, Hillary and the Democratic leadership weren't claiming that because had more total votes that she won, they claimed that the Russians interfered with the election. I won't say there might have been some that were saying that, but once they told Trump that he didn't have to concede the election I think that was the last I had heard anyone say that, so say Democrat officials believed that the popular vote count was the reason they won really underestimates their intelligence.

The claims of Russian interference never were specific about the 'collusion' because they couldn't say how they knew they did because that would have required them to make public the voting machine issues. In such, they simply referred to it as 'collusion' and called Trump the illegitimate President. But it is hard to prove how someone broke in when it was an inside job.

But If you really want to know about what is going on then consider reading the letter that George Washington wrote to the Marquis de Lafayette during the time the delegates were drafting the Constitution. The Marquis and Jefferson wanted the inclusion of term limits for Presidents in the Constitution and George responded with his position on the subject and it will help you see the reason this Nation was established with a Republican form of governance.

The reason GOP Legislatures need to convene special sessions (which they can do under their plenary power despite any state constitutional prohibitions) is:

1) They must *retroactively* CERT the Trump Electors that voted Monday.

2) They could DECERT Biden electors.*

*Do not really need them to DECERT Biden electors, but doing so would completely solve the problem.

I'm not even sure why they count the popular vote.

"So what?" LOL. The point is, this polarization of your nation is not unique as the article suggests. Nope! It is a repeat of four years ago.

The shoe just happens to be on the other foot this time...

Interesting. What is the repeat? Polarization or massive fraud?

Polarization... as I have stated more than once ;):)

The article Ed posted tried to make the case that this massive polarization is unique in American history.

It is not.
