We are not in unilateral lock down here, it varies across the regions and provinces.
Our schools are not closed.

I just find it so ironic that in 100 years people still refuse to heed basic science and your country is on the same trajectory of 1918 if not worse.
Far as I know the Constitution remained intact and people stopped wearing masks when it was over.

Sanitizing isn't working because it isn't being done.

Some facts from my small county (pop 44000) in Florida:

Every business is open.

Students are in public school.

Three churches are not having in person meetings. (All three have multiple members with covid19)

After weeks with no deaths, we had 10 last week. (we are approaching 100 deaths)

All 8 hospital ICU beds are in use, 6 with covid19. Fortunately we have five hospitals within a 80 mile radius with open ICU beds. Those hospitals can handle current infection rare, but any significant increase in the infection rate will overwhelm them.

My doctor canceled all his appointments for 3 days last week to treat patients in hospital.

What we need:

Vaccination of all our nursing home patients ASAP.

Everyone to wear masks, social distance and sanitize, sanitize, sanitize. If you don't want to wear a mask, stay home.

Everyone to get vaccinated!

Our hospital is under-whelmed with plenty of parking.. And I haven't seen cadavers stacked like chord wood in the streets .. I have seen one person with ''covid'' last a couple days with normal fever and flue like symptoms .... I see everyday authority figures ignoring their own ''covid'' mask and other mandate requirements getting caught then making fake public apologies .. God Bless ..

I think to gain some perspective you should find out whether this hospitalization rate is statistically vastly greater then it would be in a normal flu season. Because it has been confirmed that the overall death rate in the United States at this point in time for this year is no greater than normal.

I have heard time and time again that this flu season is perfectly normal in terms of hospitalization rates. This coming from all kinds of different vicinities.

Full-blown panic because of something that is twice as bad as the flu is simply insanity brought upon by gaslighting. To take away peoples civil rights for such a trivial matter is abjectly wrong.

Tell me... Trump has had massive rallies...... where is the super spreader phenomenon? Where are people left and right dropping dead like flies? Oh that's right they aren't.

Keep your delusional hysteria to yourself. I for one do not want to hear it and I will not participate in promulgating the stupidity.
