Any water will do.
It should never be the water we place our faith in but Christ and what doing so represents.Well, thing is.. if you have baptism by immersion for receiving eternal life ...that's not Christian teaching. That's what a lot of cults do.
Water has no salvic properties..only Jesus payment for sin does. Immersion in water is publicly declaring you are a follower of Christ and picturing the salvation already given.
This is why I ask about this. It's vital to receiving eternal life.
In John 1:14, the Son is God's word made flesh, in Colossians 1:15, the Son is the image of the invisible God, and in Hebrews 1:3, the Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact image of God's nature, so Jesus is the visible embodiment of the invisible aspects of God's nature that God's word was given to teach us how to express, such as holiness, righteousness, goodness, justice, mercy, faithfulness, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control, and so forth, which he expressed through setting a sinless example for us to follow of how to walk in obedience the Mosaic Law. Expressing aspects of God's nature through following the Son's example is the way to know, love, worship, believe in, and testify about Him.Please someone begin that discussion directly answering the questions and see where it goes!

I just posted this morning Here
So that's the best place to start IMHO.
That's great!I want to provide a place for those who want a deeper understanding of who Jesus is. So they can come to know him by faith and His Words we provide for the saving of their souls.
Sprinkling, pouring, or immersion; all are fine. Not sure where the rest of you comment came from.Immersion in water...

You need help understanding Scripture. That is why we are all doing our part and sharing our love for Christ that others may come to know Him through His Words. Read these Scriptures from a True Heart of faith and then tell me if you believe Jesus was just an mere mortal man.A young Jewish man enthusiastic about change

Sprinkling and pouring are represented in scripture. I personally like the symbolism of pouring. They aren't as you say traditions from some churches. They're actually the most common form of baptism in the history of the Church.Well sprinkling and pouring do not picture the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. They don't count. Immersion in water does.
That is the best picture..and the only representative of His resurrection seen in scripture. Not sprinkling and not pouring.
You won't find either sprinkling or pouring in scripture. They are traditions from primarily Catholics, Anglicans, Presbyterian and Methodists. Particularly liberal ones.
I was a Methodist and grew up thinking nothing of it...then actually read scripture and saw it not in there and left Methodism for an independent church. Although it wasn't just messing with baptism that got me to leave Methodism. They also had topical sermons with next to nothing from the bible.
