How about:

“But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.” (Mt 1:20 NKJV)

Lord is in lower case, apart from the L, and transates the Greek "Kyrios."
Good point. That's another one that I considered, but finding LORD (YHWH) and Lord in the same verse is what sealed it for me. Totally bogus conclusion on my part.

Well, your post edified me, because I had not realized the dearth of NT references to God as Lord before.
And there sometimes seems to be a dearth of amending our understanding on CC,
so agreement re wrongness is good.

Yes it is.

No assumption, merely reading what it obviously says and means,
although actually the first or original sin was not eating physical fruit, but rather choosing not to doubt the Devil,
not to cooperate with God, and not asking God why the serpent contradicted what He had told them (Gen. 3:4, MT 7:7).
It is wise to question God. The serpent introduced the option of ungodliness or functional atheism, which they chose.

in Gen. 3:7-13. Adam and Eve tried to cover up their crime, refusing to accept responsibility for their mistakes. They should have confessed immediately (1JN 1:9). Instead their ungodly attitude was manifested by a chain of sins, including their silly attempt to hide from God and to blame someone else and very likely “dysfunctional” parenting that probably contributed to the emotional disturbance (anger) in Cain that resulted in the murder of Abel and so on and so forth through the millenniums.
Their original sin was love. We know this is true because if you love God you will keep his commandments. They had sinned before they were tempted they had sinned in their hearts. Why Christ did the whole discourse on sin starts in our hearts, look upon a woman to lust after her and you have committed adulatory. Hate your brother in your heart you have committed murder.

The bible tells us God tempts no man but man is tempted when he is led away by his own lust. They were tempted because they had already been led away by their own lust. Love not the world nor the things in the world anyone who loves the world the Love of the father is not in him. All that is in the world is lust of the flesh.......The tree was good for food, lust of the eyes......it was pleasant to the eyes, and the pride of life........tree to be desired to make one wise. Eve loved the world more than God and lusted for it so she was led away by her own lust and tempted.

Adam loved Eve more than he loved God and took and ate. Adam was never tempted by the fruit he was tempted by his desire to have a relationship with her rather than God. We know that Adam loved Eve more because no man can serve two masters for he will hate the one and love the other, he will hold to one and despise the other. Adam did not want to lose Eve he held firmly to her and did not obey God's commandment.

So anyway Adam was not tempted by the fruit why the devil had never prior to that tempted him as such his weakness and lust was for the woman and why he blamed God for tempting him by saying the woman that you gave me. However God can't tempt any man with evil.

Then the second sin mentioned is also a lack of love. If you don't love your brother you can't love God. If you love God you love your brother, if you love your brother you love God. If you don't love your brother in your heart you are capable of murder. Cain slew Abel.

So the first two sins are the same ones that God said the whole law hangs upon love God and love your brother.

There is nothing new under the sun we can look at our world today and still see see the game plan and temptations being done by the enemy. Get the woman and you get the man. Tempt one with what they don't have and tempt the other with what they fear to lose. This really shows up in our current political climate.

Yes, the OS can be viewed as lack of love for God/GW.
Yes, the OS was in their hearts before it was manifested by their hands and mouths.
Yes, the OS was not confessed and so it led to a chain of sins.

No, one of them should not be blamed more than the other per the Genesis story,
although Paul ignored that aspect when arguing for the submission of women.
