The confusion occurs because it is not possible to work God out. Jesus is God, the Father is God and the Holy Spirit is God. They are one but they are not the same. Jesus said that if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Paul says that Lord Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. Paul says that the Lord is the Spirit. In other words, the Holy Spirit is Jesus. Except that they are individuals also.

Theologians and others have been wrestling with this for 2,000 years. We will only know for sure when we are freed from the limitations of this physical body and soul. I've given up trying. It makes my head hurt.

John 14:8-11
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake..../KJV

If Jesus is in the Father and the Father in Him, then they are the same person. But I think it was necessary to reveal Himself to man in different ways. In the 1st age He revealed Himself as Judge and brought the law unto man. Instituted penalties for law breakers so that man would realize that there are consequences and sacrifices are necessary to atone for the sin. Then in the 2nd age Jesus revealed Himself in love and forgiveness as a Father would for his kids. He's also been revealed to be our Teacher, Guide, Wisdom, Love, understanding and a host of others! Including you! Are we not of the Body of the Lord Jesus? Of course we are, and why we abide in Him.

Jesus claims to be the Great I AM

53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you claim to be?” 54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing; it is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is your God. 55 But you have not known him; I know him. If I said, I do not know him, I should be a liar like you; but I do know him and I keep his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he was to see my day; he saw it and was glad.” 57 The Jews then said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”[d] 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.

I never got a straigth answer to this question. The apostles were discipled and taught by Jesus himself. Where in their letters do they literally write that Jesus is the Father? You will get run arounds like Jesus is god therefore he is the Father. That is not a text in their letters where they write. Jesus is the Father.

Not in ether.,

There aren’t any verses that say Jesus is the Father.

Jesus is God, Jesus is the Son of God…
There are many verses that use the pronouns: We, Our, Us, His; the Father talks about the Son, and the Son talks about the Father and the Helper (which is the Holy Spirit = Trinity.

Jesus is equal to God the Father because He sits to His right hand in power.

"And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."" John 20:28-29 NKJV

-"For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him." John 5:21-23 NKJV

"Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God." Acts 9:20 NKJV

Not in ether.,

Show us the Father, the two are One. Through Son we see Father and Father reveals Father too us in Father's spirit and Truth, John 4:23-24
John 5:23
that all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

They are two, yet One a perplexity that only in Father's spirit and truth cans it be seen thank you

Father is God, Jesus is the Son of God, For us the people to either believe Or not consciously. In belief to Son Jesus as the mediator, we are made one with them as Won for us to love all in the same mercy and truth Son did for us.
They to me are like Water, which can be steam and ice, all are water in different forms
Or and Egg , has a white, Yoke and Shell the three parts make up one egg

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Above Jesus representing Father, not Father himself, the way to Father through the cross is in the risen Son for us to be with God and made as one with them as Won One for us, to just love all, includes those we might not like or even hate over troubles, Hate anyone anyone hate you? go be reconciled, just let them know and be reconciled in that alone, between God and you.
Jesus and Father are two, yet One (Won) for us the people to go in free of charge, thank you Father, Daddy, PaPa, to me I am thankful, stress turns into rest in trust to the King Father of the risen Son for me at least
I see three as in Genesis, when God said man has become like one of us.
God adds each child to his love and mercy for us all one by one
1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x continues to equal 1 thank you Father, Son and Holy Spirit guide to teach me new in love and mercy to all. not a few
