Interesting… I might have to give this a try and rebuke every negative thought in my mind in the name of Jesus
it totally works. it is very easy for me to cast5 out the devil & his temptations. it gets done instantly.

I’m realizing that I need to take care of my temple… (body).. I realized that some of my emotional highs and lows this past 2 weeks could be from all the candy I’ve been eating in prep for Halloween! Way too much chochcolate causes a sugar crash which makes you feel so tired. Just a theory..

no, not a theory, MASSIVELY TRUE! sugar, brown sugar & refined sugar especially are the worst foods on earth to eat. & america, forget it, the u.s. leads the way for nearly a century eating the worst foods in the world. 1 time, i was in a hardware store purchasing some materials in line to cash out, & a lady came in to buy a pepsi soda. while i was waiting i wanted to give her some health info so i said to her, "soda is 1 of the worst drinks in the world because of the sugar". she said, "no wonder i always feel like crap after i drink 1". she put it back & walked out!

you keep on struggling. push on.
get depressed. tyr harder, pray.
That sounds logical, and at times may be the right thing to do. Or maybe God is trying to slow you down to teach you something, such as learning to go to Him, rather than exercising your personal will and pushing forward without Him.
Or what if the direction you're headed isn't the way He wants you to go? So He's trying to slow you down from making a mistake?
Pushing through isn't always the best option. There may be times when God wants you to slow down as He prepares you for what's coming next.
The need to push through at all costs, every time, is a rather man made idea related to worldly success. And can be a selfish one.
So pushing forward is sometimes whats needed, but before you do just take a bit to ensure it's the right decision for you in that situation and that God doesn't have another direction for you.

I’m wondering if anybody has felt this? Like whether it’s the first time you come to Jesus or you re-dedicating yourself or you just come back from a church retreat and you just like on fire for the Lord and you want to make a difference and reading the Bible hours and hours a day and you’re praying hours and hours a day, but slowly the reality of the broken world hits you in the face and things aren’t changing the way you thought they would.
Oh yeah. But here's the thing bro. We aren't changing the world. We aren't praying to change the world. We are praying to change individual lives. Beginning with our own.

I used to experience this a lot in my charismatic days. Since I've left those behind I've not had all the dramatic highs and lows.
I think often times it's easy to get caught up in things when you're in a group.
It reminds me of people in rehab. They spends weeks or months in a supportive environment, lots of people around to talk to or cheer you up. They're locked away from the rest of the world, away from people who will tear them down, push them to drink or do drugs, etc...
Many may feel confident than can maintain when they leave rehab, but once they're back in the real world, it's much harder.
The temptations are real, the pressure, the lack of support and encouragement, etc... can tear down any enthusiam they had, quickly.
I think it's similar for Christians in like environments. But under the guise that it's spiritual.

I will say that first getting saved is an exception. I remember first getting saved and I felt like I was seeing the world through new eyes. Feeling new things. Like a veil was lifted. But within a year it all had worn off.
And I think that's pretty normal.
Wow, that's sad.

The path of the just is as a shining light that grows brighter and brighter unto that perfect day.

I think it is more than a theory, especially if you have had a lot of sugar.

Perhaps you do need to “pace” yourself.. as @Eli1 stated.
I am changed for sure, but even my son who is 11 and my only Christian friend says daddy not everything is about God… Like sometimes he says I’m just overdoing it. But maybe it’s a good thing…
Today I woke up and I feel so uplifted! Yesterday I felt so down… nothing has changed but I think God saw my pain and gave me more peace and grace.
Everything that we do is about God and it should be in gratefulness. Literally everything show's God's glory. Our attempts at being "great" with our knowledge, technology and engineering is subconsciously an attempt to reach out to God like we tried with the Tower of Babel.
This technology that we have invented here called The Internet is also a by-product of our minds which are a God-given miracle from God when you study the details far enough.
So everything is about God and you have to thank Him for everything in every little thing you do, without drawing too much attention to yourself too. When you have the first coffee in the morning, thank God like He's there and He is there.

There is a passage in the Bible where Jesus says that "God knows all the hairs in your head".
Scientifically this passage has been proven by the Law of Information in a Vacuum (aka The Universe).
Everything that we do here is basically 'recorded' and NOTHING is lost. This was a problem with black holes because scientists said that the information is lost, but when they redid the math, the information is not lost but sent back to us in radiation.
So the point is that nothing is lost and everything is recorded so He is there.
All the people that we have "lost" and passed away in the spiritual realm, are not lost, they are over a time hill.
If i went into a point in space 50 light years away and point a telescope back to Earth, i can see my grandfather doing his usual daily routine.
So, nothing is lost and everything is about God who is there.
Take things in gratefulness and one day at a time realizing that God is in control and His signature is all around us but we can't see Him directly ... yet.
Be grateful for all the things He has made for us.

I tell you the truth, you can’t tell what religion 90% of so the called Christians are if you didn’t ask. Statistics say 60% of Americans identify as Christian’s. Loving each other… yea I don’t see it… sadly, Buddhist are probably the most kind… and Muslims as a whole the most devout.
In every crowd you will have the good, the bad and the ugly. Take the good and ignore the bad and the ugly. This becomes sort of automatic when you practice gratefulness too. It's not judgment about the bad or the ugly, it just becomes white noise. Meaningless. Then you ask God to give them the light and move on. It's like trying to understand someone who speaks a different language basically. Not really a reaction of hate. You just don't understand them.

You're absolutely right. This body, despite being an engineering marvel, it has a factor of corruption since the First Sin. Me personally am fascinated on how the original bodies in the garden were when i see the complexities of our bodies now, but yes the point is that you do need to take care of your body.
Be wise with the knowledge that God has given you.

Because I was raised by Christian parents, I have never known a time when I wasn't a Christian, and I only associated with other loving Christians--children of my parents' friends, the church youth group--the Baptist Student Union, Christian friends in the military, and fellow-Christians adults at Sunday School, so I hope you find a better church than apparently you attend now with that cynical view.

My only criticism is that there are few in churches who seem to crave Bible study and application to current problems, preferring prayer and socializing. This is why I have found Christian Chat discussions to be stimulating. :^)
