My family and I did lose more than one loved one to gun violence, and I still support 2A. The family members who protected my home after the loss had guns. Take away the right to have guns and only criminals will have them. Bad idea.
Nobody wants to lose their children (or other children in their family), but some already have and they still support 2A. It's not like it's people who support 2A vs. people who have or love kids. Some support 2A out of their love for kids; we want to protect them too, just as I was protected.
We're not heartless and we're not "gun worshippers"; we just don't think more gun laws is the way to go.
The problem is, humans are no longer humane. We'd just as soon spit in each others eyes than give the time of day. AS this thread has shown. Once again. Even here among 'loving Christians'. As long as we hate each other as we do, the type of weapon is only secondary. The Columbine kids had more bombs than they had guns. The problem is not the weapons. It is the HATE.
The Bible says love will grow cold. It has. What you see is the result of that.
I agree people should be vetted more carefully before they are allowed to have guns.
But as long as we HATE, what's in their hand isn't as dangerous as what's in their heart.

you know if you feel so strongly about this,why are you wanting to discuss this on this site,especially when it's "under maintenance" instead of actually"taking action",as is your right whatever issue you have with guns you can call for a "petition" and even send in a "law" to be analyzed and possibly approved,why bother talking here when you could be making a "real difference" concerning the issue you have shared instead of responding so many times in this thread with some people who are clearly not listening to you?

Yeah I know just kind of agreeing with her for the sake of agreeing so as that she might "think" instead of just "throwing about" insults,and express to her that she obviously has "strong opposition" to "what she wants" and that she can "better handle things" with "paper work" or a more "real" community outreach instead of just one site where her posts might be deleted due to maintenance.
She hasn't insulted anyone. She has a belief and an emotional response to current events.
