I completely understand where you're coming from. When something starts to negatively affect your health, budget, or spiritual walk, it's wise to reassess. Coffee isn't sinful in itself, but like anything, it can become an issue if it takes up too much space in our lives. It sounds like you're making a responsible and thoughtful decision. Ask ChatGPTNo I don't think it's sinful to drink coffee, until it becomes to much of a thing in your life, or the habit starts causing health issues or cost too much or interferes with our walk starbucks frappuccino menu. it's an easy thing to overlook since it isn't talked about directly in the bible, but like anything else It can become it's own problem. I'm afraid to say it's time for me to cut way back because not only is it costing me money at $2 buck a cup, but my digestive system doesn't like it. So for me it's become a sin.

I have to drink decaf due to medical issues. Caffeine literally negates the life-saving effects of my medications. At first, I was missing it, but Our God gave us an amazing brain. After about a week, my brain and body went with the old "Smells like real coffee, tastes like real coffee, drinks like real coffee...It must be high-octane, full leaded coffee." The only thing that I find problematic is when I go out for breakfast, as not all places have fresh decaf, so I end up with instant.I recently switched from regular coffee to decaf, and I love it. After studying the idea, I found decaf does have a very small content of caffeine but it has all the health benefits of fully caffeinated coffee.
When I learned one would need drink about 50 cups of decaf to obtain the same amount of caffeine as regular, I was sold on it. I like it lots.
datzphunnneee! The way I see it, you should only drink coffee if your conscience allows it. If you feel guilty about it, or if you feel guilty about the amount you drink, then you should stop or cut back. I don't see anything inherently sinful about drinking coffee; but if it makes you feel guilty, then it's sinful for you.
Your thoughtful reply is directly from the Word, though paraphrased in a most understandable manner, thanks. The way I see it, you should only drink coffee if your conscience allows it. We all drink coffee and we know it’s a sin. It blocks God’s blessings in your life. It’s one of the little foxes that spoils the vine. In fact, just a coffee fast is more beneficial that a total water fast.No I don't think it's sinful to drink coffee, until it becomes to much of a thing in your life, or the habit starts causing health issues or cost too much or interferes with our walk. it's an easy thing to overlook since it isn't talked about directly in the bible, but like anything else It can become it's own problem.
