Our sins were forgiven when JESUS died on the Cross for us, and then Rose again!

it depends on who you are. an atheist's sins are never forgiven. A born again Christian's sins are forgiven after sinning. however, note that habitual sin isn't forgiven.
Habitual sin Already Forgiven all 'members' of The Body Of Christ, but may "get you this
early
in life":

"To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that
the spirit may be Saved in The [ Judgment ] Day of The Lord Jesus."
(1Co_5:5 cp 3:8-15 AV)

Amen.

it's doubtful that habitual sin occurs with b.a. Christians.

Were you alive when Jesus became the lamb of God to take away the sins of the world? No. So how many of your sins were future? All of them. Does Jesus have to die for you every time you sin? Of course not.

Ephesians tells us we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. You could see it like a bank account. The money is there, it is yours and you only have to draw on it.

John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus. John said that he had to decrease and Jesus increase. John could not pay for sin, he was a man like everyone else.

JESUS for sure did die for the sins of the world, but that is what HE did, not what we have to do.

No HE doesn't need to die again, after we get rid of our sins when we sin after that all we need to do is repent and confess them to HIM. 1 John 8:9

No debate about Eph, but Paul is speaking to one of the churches he started, not to us or the unsaved.

John the baptism introducd baptism for remission of sins.

Mark 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

What do you think of this verse?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

What is Peter saying and what does it mean?

Your concept of forgiveness is way too small. All sin of all mankind was laid on Jesus. Jesus blood paid the price. Now people do not have to accept God's forgiveness. But it is finished. The debt is paid, from Adam's sin to the last sin that is ever to be committed.

sounds like you are saying an atheist can sin & be forgiven

You don't get it. I don't know why. Is English your second language? Every sin of all mankind is already paid for. Forgiveness means to be released from a debt. All mankind owes God a debt we cannot pay. Jesus has already paid that debt. All of it. That is God's part.

In order to benefit from the sacrifice of Jesus, we must turn to Him to be saved. He has already taken away the sins of the world.

Maybe this will help: the lunatics that run this country have made gas and electricity unaffordable for most people. The government knows that it's harder for some than others. Instead of dealing with the cause, they offer a band aid solution, which is a subsidy. In order to get the subsidy, I have to apply for it. I have and it will be at least something to help.

The subsidy is there. All I have to do is apply. Forgiveness is already there. All we have to do is repent and receive Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Why does this matter? Satan accuses the brethren day and night. One of his lies is that sin after you are saved can't be forgiven. Another is that we have to do all kinds of religious gymnastics, as if God was reluctant to forgive. We need to know that the blood of Christ cleanses our conscience from dead works. We need to know that sin breaks fellowship but not relationship. We need to know that there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

A condemned Christian is a weak Christian. I tell those under accusation that if God can forgive a murdering adulterer, one who was the most privileged and blessed man in the land, He can forgive you.

your assumption that i don't understand is incorrect. all of us on CC don't always post everything in detail so we assume, sometimes that the person we're conversing with understands commonplace, commonsense issues. i don't always post everything because my hands & fingers are big & i really don't like typing. i do enjoy CC friendship. God provided a way for all our sins to be forgiven by transferring them to the cross & then by Jesus dying on the cross for sins to be forgiven. when any individual proclaims Jesus Christ as personal savior but also believing in God & the Holy Spirit, his or her sins are forgiven. unrepentant sin is not forgiven. Christians accept & believe the sacrifice of Jesus dying on the cross for forgiveness of sins. the sins of atheists will not be forgiven because they chose not to believe in God, Jesus & the H.S. a primary example of sins forgiven is Jesus speaking to the penitent sinner on his cross next to Him. because that sinner repented, Jesus said he would be in paradise on that day with Jesus. blessings to you.
