Hi there, and God bless you...I'm always curious to hear about how others integrate their Christian faith into their lives. What is your daily or weekly spiritual routine like? Do you pray every day or every few days? Do you study the Word or read scholarly articles or watch sermons? I have recently begun to Meditate On The Word and love it! My routine starts off with a good cup of coffee early in the morning, Bible in one hand and index cards in the other. I meditate on the Word for a bit (by coloring or imagining scenes), then pray scriptures over my life (index cards), do a simple devotional, and then address prayer requests and prayer intentions - for myself and others. Would love to hear what you do to stay "grounded and founded" His Word and His Plans for your lives. Thanks for sharing!

My wife and I daily routine is to read a chapter of two from the bible as part of reading the complete bible. We always pick a different version for each reading for comparison purposes.

Also, we read from quarterly bible lessons on various topics the current date for that particular day. Also, a reading from a daily devotional.

We spend some time discussing what we have read as to how it relates to our current spiritual life. We end the session by each saying a prayer.

We do this every day and have done so since the day we got married over 8 years ago.

When it was my wife's turn to read, she read from a version where you color certain pictures. Currently, it is my turn to read the bible and should end this current bible reading project sometime at the end of summer. About 2 years total. .

My "system", if you will, is simple (as I am a simple man). I pray and read / listen to my Bible every day. Times vary from 45 to 90 mins-plus.

My routine is sporadic …I guess that somewhat nullifies “routine” … but I have some consistencies. I wake up @5 …. get outta bed…. drag a comb across my head…. find my way downstairs and drink a cup of ~COFFEE~ and study for a while along with prayer……….

Two evenings a week I am teaching (sometimes more) also on Sunday AM.. in between those times I do research and attempt get to bed by midnight….. (SIT) prayer consistently throughout the day.

Praying in the Spirit all the time, keeping my mind stayed on him, constantly asking and receiving His guidance.
Ask for dreams, He gives freely, His are very clear and very lucid for me anyway, I have asked He bring them to my remembrance that I may ask Him the meaning, and He does so as I wait upon the Lord for His perfect timing.
Our faith is not a spectator sport.
blessings to all in His name.

I do prayers in the morning and evening which are in the Bible but my whole day and life is filled with God because on every moment I thank Him, I praise Him, I ask Him and I talk to Him like He’s next to me.
He has shown me certain things and has answered my prayers.
I ask Him to come back soon and fix this fallen world and to have mercy on us all and all the souls before us.
So He is my soulmate and I love Him very much. He comes first and my family comes second.

as soon as i wake up i'm praying & talking to Jesus. as i indulge in breakfast, i'm listening to preachers on the radio. then i kneel & say prayers for a while. go to work & often at work i'm praying for people. during the work season i don't read the Bible as much as winter. i have a prayer list of people in pray for. i also witness to people & this is 1 reason why i don't have many friends. people just don't want to hear about Jesus around here. what a shame. thru out the day i'm just about always talking to God or Jesus. while i'm on the road, shopping or whatever, i'm nearly always praying for someone or somthing. i also have a bunch of index cards i wrote Christian lessons on. here's a few; 'as quickly as you don't pray, you will see the difference in a day", "wail & fail or fight with might", "trust & you will not rust".

I like to reach the point where when I roll over at night I have a hymn playing in my mind, that is "keeping our thoughts stayed on Him"

Wow, really awesome. I love the idea of reading through the entire Bible and making sure to use different versions for a more complete understanding. I like to ask people about this topic because sometimes it helps to give me (and others) some new and/or interesting ideas. I had about two years where I was essentially doing the same type of spiritual activity daily, and it became stale. To protect against that, I now frequently ask people what their methods or practices include...keeps me on my toes and always thinking about ways to incorporate more or different activities. Keeps my devotional life to God nice and fresh! Thanks for your comment.

Very cool! I used to listen to a collection of spoken word, Bible audio CDs: The Word of Promise Audio Bible, Jim Cavaziel does the part of, voice of Christ. It even features dramatic music in the background for certain parts.

So beautiful, I loved this. A great idea! Dreams are definitely a way of communication that God like to use from time to time. Loved reading this. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! :coffee:;)

Karlon - I love this post. Thank you so much for sharing with me. I truly appreciate it. I love that so many people here continuously "pray without ceasing," speaking to God throughout the day. This is a really great reminder for me, honestly. I don't want to relegate my prayers simply through the morning, but I should make more of an effort to keep Him present in my heart all throughout the day. Your comment about shopping or doing other activities while still in prayer was inspiring. Again, loved this post so much. Also, I'll share two quotes for your index cards, should you wish to use them: "The Bible will keep you from Sin, and Sin will keep you from your Bible. Treasure it, Trust it, Practice it," and another, "Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary." (I think the latter has been attributed to St. Frances of Assisi, though not verified. GBY, Karlon.

I pray to begin and end each day.i read a section of the Bible as often as possible. I pray several times daily as I go about my life.

I don't have a routine. I feel constrained by it. I prefer to live each day as it presents itself to me and act accordingly. I do believe there is a reason for everything and God controls it. I hope to be sensitive to each new situation I find myself in each day. When I meet someone or find myself around a group of people I pray for them, for their salvation. When my eyes are amazed by the beauty surrounding me, I thank God for His creation. When I see despair or sadness in people I come to God and ask for His help, guidance and strength. When strangers are kind to me, I thank and praise God. When I'm sick I ask for His healing. When I feel the pressure of this world I spend more time in His word. Each day is different. Each moment inspires a different response. No two days are the same. No routine for me. Just a readiness to His promptings.
