I grew up across the street from where Central High School is now located. If I walked across West Edison St. , I would be in Osage county. But that was about 50 yrs ago, now live in Texas.
I lived in a tiny community in the Osage called Okesa. My grandmother always told me that it meant "halfway between Bartlesville and Pawhuska."

I looked at the forecast. It didn't show rain. I went outside. It didn't look like it would rain. It's common for it to thunder here and not rain. So, I fed the birds. After I get back inside, a downpour happens
ahh I see, don't think I have ever seen anything like that. glad the birds are fed, I wish I was lol. haha God has a sense of humour.

I fed myself after I fed the birds. They come first! lol I hope you'll be able to have a tasty meal soon 🙏

In the meantime, the rain has already moved on.

When I worked in retail, we had some birds that got inside. The store was huge, so it was hard to get rid of them and keep them out. Anyway, one flew over one of our cashiers while she was working and left a little "gift" on her head. :poop:

well power went out at 3pm on Saturday, due to freezing rain, around 3am after a trip to the bathroom I was putting my coat on to keep warm, went to church Sunday, I was the only one there from 8:30-10:00 then a guy showed up to check the basement for flooding, left me standing there when he left, walked home at 10:30 so I spent a good 3 hours in the cold because the walk was 30 minutes each way.
Power came back on 11:20pm last night, 12:15 I was at the bank checking for my odsp, atms were down, I called spent 20 minutes on hold between 1am and 1:30am verified my odsp was deposited, paid over $100.00 to take a taxi from home to school to get an assignment presentation done got here about 2:30 spent about half an hour trying to get in, finally found someone to let me in.
Fortunately power was restored here as well.

I Think I am predestined to become like Ebonezer Scrooge lol

At the moment of writing this thread it is 23 degrees celcius, was a bit showery earlier but I went outside to hang the laundry after work and could feel the sun burning my neck. So a sunny warm day in Auckland New Zealand perfect with a little breeze at 5.37 pm Tues 13 Dec 2022.
Right now in Dallas it's warm mid '70s F overcast, rainy, threat of violent weather (Hail, straight line winds, Tornado's, etc) typical Springtime weather.

Tell me about; I live in Southern California, where they say we have the best weather all year round (Hawaii is probably better) and we have a giant mentally ill, homeless and drug addicted population, which I have been all three in different portions of my life.

Even with all the beauty we have here, there is a thorn in almost every citizens side.
...yeah, and all of blue Dem city mayors who don't have a clue what the average citizen goes through on a daily basis.
