Some of this stuff is a little bit beyond what I understand or agree with, but I like the song all the same.
I consider this being the song in my head right now a testament to God holding me up through come what may.
 
There are many from Journey (Steve Perry) I repeat in my mind and, recently, I realized there is only one is not appropriate to pay attention to.

Wow, that guys got some rap skills. I would like to hear him rap over better music though. He needs some crunk. Boo yah!
I wasn't liking the video at first, i couldn't figure out why. Then i realized that i'm so used to seeing rap, even with Christians, so much about looking rich and cool, that my mind rejected a rapper chilling at the beach instead, haha. Once i realized that, i kicked myself. I usually tired of the money/cool guy thing in rap, but i guess expectations take time to get weeded out.

and, in case you haven't wrapped your ind around this detail, that song is from 1997 (pre-millennium, LOL!) and STILL good enough to make Ugly say what he did. There's skills, then there's skills that will stand the test of time.
As for the musical accompaniment, think back to what songs you can remember from 1997, and that may put things in a little perspective.
If I had a multi-track, it might be worth getting the wheels of steel out of dry dock to do a little work on this.

If I ever was truly alone in this world I would want to do three things:
own my own salvage yard
build a hot rod from the ground up
post obscure remixes of obscure music on the internet that I had toiled over with the expectation of no audience ever bothering to listen.
 
Hmm.. do you do computer based electronic music? I'd love to learn how to do that. I'd want to do a mix of dub step and harder tech styles, like speedcore and terror... Christians mostly just do poppy dance and remixes of Michael W Smith or Hillsong, and i hate both.
 
Love this band, love this song. Awesome Christian band. Song is beautiful, haunting, epic and powerful. I would love to sing like this, he is probably my favorite singer.

Saviour Machine..yeah words can't do this group enough justice. Eric Clayton easily one of my all time favorite singers ever,secular or christian!
