Snow crab legs tonight. Not my favorite crab, in fact it's my least favorite crab, that's probably why it's the more affordable... and that's why I've got some in the freezer. My favorite is dungeness, followed by King.

I had the last of my noodles with beef barley soup added. That was my dinner three days in a row .
No, I know the night before what I will have for dinner the next day. I am drinking my coffee also with Hazelnut. I don't drink black coffee. How are you doing Magenta?Have you had dinner already? I am still on my morning coffee .
I would rather have sweetened coffee black than coffee with cream but not sweetened .
Today feels like it is going to be a lazy day... and it is quite grey outside! It started raining
yesterday just as I was about to go for a walk after my lunch at work, so that put a kibosh
on that idea LOL. I only work three days a week now after being involuntarily retired
almost three years ago with the covid closures. I had just received my diagnosis before
turning sixty five, so it was good timing to allow me to go through all my treatments and
surgeries and then months and months of wound care before my boss called me last fall
and asked me to come back part time for six hour days. That works really well for me,
especially because I need a reason to get dressed and walk out my door. Plus I have always
enjoyed the work I do in making people's pictures look as good as they possibly can, or in
some cases, as ugly as they want them to, because we get that as well LOL.
How's your day going so far?
I am glad to hear they called you back. Are you getting your Social Security? We started getting ours at 62, and I am 70 now. It has been in the 80's here, but today suppose to be 76 so a cooler day with chances of rain day and night. Looking forward to a cooler day. I am on 3 Christian Forums now because a man from RF that was another Administrator left RF awhile back and he started up a new forum. I have no real plans for today basically relaxing, and chatting with people online at the Forums. Have a great weekend Magenta. Thank you, Janice! You know it is a funny thing and I think God must have a sense of humour (I have thought
that before .
) because in all my many years of working full time forty hour weeks I have never made as muchmoney as I do now working eighteen hours a week! That is because I do collect Canada Pension Plan (which
I paid into the whole of my working life since age 18) and also OAS, which is old age security, paid out to every
Canadian citizen over the age of sixty five regardless of their work history or lack thereof. While I was laid
off I was only collecting one of those two because I was collecting employment insurance while it lasted
and also got medical coverage for loss of wages through the same government branch. Many also qualified
for tax breaks and rebates due to covid closures and job loss, and I got all that, as well, to the point where
it was like our government was literally throwing money at us!!! This was all in very stark contrast to knowing
that many people lost businesses and homes and even lives and had all manner of financial failings for the
same reason, that being covid this and that. CPP and OAS are not affected at all by my wages because I am
over the age of 65, and once I retire for good I will then qualify for another financial assistance program,
which I am not even sure I need at this point, though everything has gone up in price so much of late
there is no telling what my needs might be by then. Our rents here have skyrocketed also, but I have
lived in the same place for thirty two years now and rent controls keep my rent reasonable comparatively
speaking. If I were to move out, the suite I am in would close to double in rent for the next tenant. My boss
also gave me a significant raise when I returned to work; it was part of his incentive for me to say yes. While
I was gone (over two and a half years) they really struggled to maintain anything like the quality of product
I am able to deliver on a consistent basis, so they (and our clientele) are all happy to have me back .
