I have a friend of mine from my childhood who is a completely different man. He tells me nowadays that he believes that God and Jesus Christ are extremely evil people who are just out to destroy everyone eventually. He doesn't believe that Jesus is good and literally hates him. He truly believes that Jesus has a very, very, dark heart. I am confused because I don't know where to start. Any advice?

if you are a Christian, how can you be confused? tell him right out: "if you die an atheist you are going to live in hell forever. but i will teach you how to live in heaven forever". then show him verses such as 1st John 5:10,13, Romans 8:16, John 14:26 & 16:13. tell him you care about him & try your best to witness Jesus on the spot.

If God wanted to destroy us... then he just would do that. His longsuffering toward mankind is pretty amazing... thousands of years of putting up with people's evil crap; when he could just instantly blink you into nothing. Not even mankind loves mankind as much as God.

The meaning of this sentence is that if human do not obey God's words, our own development will be destroyed the world, possibly due to war, industry, and ecological destruction, rather than the destruction of human souls.

The way of God is the truth of life, We should have learned this truth in the process of governing our world, but due to various reasons, humans often overlook it.

For example, the discharge of nuclear wastewater into the ocean,abnormal crop growth due to global warming,ETC.

Odd that your friend would hate Jesus. Most non-believers see Jesus as a good guy at least. Jews are a different matter. Is your friend Jewish by any chance? Chief among those in Scripture who reacted to Jesus with hostility are the scribes and Pharisees. They were jealous of Him. He exposed that they were counterfeit, and they feared losing their power and authority.

I'd argue this borders on blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Recount what Jesus said to the Pharisees when they accused Him of the same? As someone said, perhaps you can warn him once, and certainly you might pray for him (if this be God's will), but for those who attribute to God the works of the devil, I don't know there is anything more we can do other than warn them of the terrible consequences of such folly.

I think this friend of yours is a make believe person and theese are whispers in your ear from satan, only part of you is believing it and then satan told you how you could write theese insults down on this forum and get away it, thats what I think 🙂

Well, you can always DARE them to pray or Ask God to make Himself real to them. I have a friend who is a strong christian now...he did this and has an amazing story and testimony. Maybe this person got involved in drugs or something very severe to cause his eye to be blinded and his ears blocked to Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life. John 14:6

A funny/ strange thing like that just happened today to me too. It was just online though. Did some famous YouTube atheist just post a video on this subject last week?

If we were in person, I would have asked why they think that ? Then I would follow up with a gospel presentation after addressing their false beliefs with Bible answers. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes . Romans 1:16
I think reasoning together is a good thing, but the Gospel has the power to save. When reasoning, I would focus on the sinless character of Christ and the compassion of the Father.
A clear powerful gospel presentation can convince better than mere reasoning alone..
