Physical bodies NEED physical food to exist...............

SPIRITUAL bodies need SPIRITUAL food to exist......

Do people REALLY THING we'll be urinating and defecating in Heaven? Seriously? That is what will have to happen if people are eating and drinking physical foods..........
The Bible says:

Mat_4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Luk_4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
The spiritual (born again, submitted to God) man (Hosea 9:7) requires physical and spiritual food as Jesus just stated. Notice:

1Co_2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

As for 'excreting', do you think it sin? Do you think 'worms' will be in the New Heaven and New Earth, as they were in the perfect Garden of Eden on earth in Genesis 1-2?

The Bible says that we shall be as the angels (Matthew 22:30; Mark 12:25), and they eat food (Genesis 18:5-8). The resurrected persons shall have glorified bodies of flesh and bone, even as Jesus has (Luke 24:39), and He still eats (Luke 24:42, etc), and so shall we in the eternal Kingdom (Luke 12:37; Revelation 2:7, etc). God created the digestive system of His creatures, and it was existent in the earth without sin (Genesis 1-3). Excreta (dirt, Judges 3:22) is not sin. It is natural, even dirt/dust.

So, if we did, would it be an issue? No.

Dirt would simply be placed back into the dirt where it came from. Worms eat dirt, process dirt, and excrete dirt.

In the third Heaven, where God dwells, are fields, a garden, rivers, trees, fruit and dirt; in other words, the unfallen world where God Himself dwells. See Revelation, Ezekiel, etc.

Watch for the deliberate misquote in the passage below.

1Cor 15:42-44 . . So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in
corruption, it is raised up in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised
up in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised up in power. It is sown a
physical body, it is raised up a spirit body. If there is a physical body, there
is also a spirit body.

Catch the misquote? Well; there is no mention of a spirit body in that
passage. The actual word is "spiritual".

The Greek word translated "spiritual" is ambiguous. It doesn't necessarily
refer to the characteristics of thin air. Below is a list of spiritual things that
bear absolutely no resemblance whatsoever to the bodily chemistry of an
angel or a demon.

Spiritual gifts (Rom 1:11)
Spiritual law (Rom 7:14)
Spiritual things (Rom 15:27)
Spiritual people (1Cor 2:15)
Spiritual nourishment (1Cor 10:3)
Spiritual water (1Cor 10:4)
Spiritual rock (1Cor 10:4)
Spiritual counselors (Gal 6:1)
Spiritual blessings (Eph 1:3)
Spiritual music (Eph 5:19)
Spiritual understanding (Col 1:9)
Spiritual housing (1Pet 2:5)
Spiritual sacrifices (1Pet 2:5)

It's apparently been decided, and chipped in stone, by a number of
theologians that the spiritual body has to be composed of spirit material
because of the passage below.

1Cor 15:50 . . This I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit
God’s kingdom,

The Greek word translated "inherit" is kleronomeo (klay-ron-om-eh'-o)
which speaks of heirs; roughly defined by Webster's as someone who is
entitled to receive something from an ancestor.

In a nutshell, the kingdom of God is not the kind of estate that natural
parents can share with their natural posterity by means of either a trust fund
or a will. People can only inherit the kingdom of God from God; and not just
from God as a supreme being, but from God as a parent, i.e. a Father.

So then; in order to be entitled to an inheritance from God, people must first
qualify as His legal kin; which of course is possible only via the spirit birth
that Jesus spoke of in John 3:3-12.

One of the things known about the spiritual body, in addition to its
immortality, is that it's visible to the naked eye.

Acts 1:11 . . Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This
Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the
same way as you have watched him go into heaven.

Rev 1:7 . . Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see
him, even those who pierced him
_
Hmmmm This is a very good post. Well researched. When I spoke of the glorified body I was thinking of our example which is Christ. He could eat fish and walk through walls which is something the flesh can not do and His wounds were still open, not healed but not bleeding and we all know about the scripture that tells us that when we die that flesh goes back to the earth where it came from. Which means that the flesh as we know it will not be a part of the glorified body and the only reason we need food is to nourish the flesh and without the flesh no food is needed. Even though Christ did in fact eat a piece of fish as an example of what He could do in the state of the glorified body for the purposes of confirming to the disciples that he was the risen Christ.

Question. Would you consider a spirit body to be the same thing as a spiritual body??

.

Well; I don't know about Heaven, and I don't know about needing food for
energy, but I do know for sure that Jesus and his followers will be eating and
drinking common foods and beverages in the kingdom of God.

Matt 26:29 . . I tell you: I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now
on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom.

Luke 22:15-16 . . I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you
before I suffer. For I tell you: I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in
the kingdom of God.

Luke 22:28-29 . . However, you are the ones that have stuck with me in
my trials; and I make a covenant with you, just as my Father has made a
covenant with me, for a kingdom, that you may eat and drink at my table in
my kingdom
_
Great scriptures. I will get back with you after I have researched whether or not the words eat and drink in these scriptures are metaphorical or not because I do know that in many scriptures the word eat also means or is talking about "taking in knowledge".
A great example of the kind of metaphorical Christ would often make is John 15:5. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. So in this verse both fruit and vine are not talking about an actual fruit and vine.

You let others do your thinking and viewing for you? Interesting approach to life. Do you do the same for your Bible reading also?
You have a keen ability to make something out of nothing. The answer to both of your questions is no. In regards to the video you provided I am not interested in watching some stupid video by a loon that's providing nutritional advice and claims that eating herbs brings you closer to God. That's total nonsense. Seriously, you need to take a chill pill or lay off the caffiene.

Broad way, compared to narrow path. Most of the Sanhedrin rejected Jesus. Only two named did not, and even those were in secret most of the time. "Majority" is not evidence of truth.
What does the Sanhedrin rejecting Jesus have to do with anything related to the post of mine that you replied to in regards to wresting scripture?

no, we will not be urinating or defecating in heaven because our bodies will not require this earthly necessity. Our bodies will be transformed and we will be able to eat for the pleasure and taste not for the nourishment.

Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

We will be drinking wine at the big Wedding, The Marriage Feast in Heaven after the Rapture.

Think as you wish.............
No, that would be heresy. I think according to "Thus saith the Lord.", and "It is written."

but IF you make it
Only by God's grace now, and by that which shall be revealed at Jesus' coming (2nd Advent):
1Pe_1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

don't be surprised when there ain't no fried chicken
I am explicitly saying (by the scriptures presented earlier) there will be no "fried chicken" (sic) there (Heaven or New Heaven/Earth). No animal injury or death in all of God's holy mountain and kingdom.

or outhouses there.......................
I am saying that God created mankind in the beginning perfectly. God created his creatures with digestive systems, to eat (receive) and to excrete (be rid), for nourishment, sustenance, etc. God's creatures all must receive from God nourishment, as they are not eternal as God is, being Life itself, but the creatures all "borrow" life from God. All creatures are the borrowers, and God the lender of Life.

The "outhouses" (sic) of heaven, I do not know exactly what it will look like in practice, but I can speculate based upon known scriptures, even from the beginning. God created the earth itself as a filtering mechanism, along with things like dung beetles (which move excreted dirt around), and worms (which process dirt, and excereted dirt), etc.

I am saying that excereting is not a sin, but in God's perfect design.

God is giving mankind (in Christ Jesus) back the "first dominion:":
Mic_4:8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.

You can view something about that DOMINION here:

Physical bodies ARE NOT the "perfect" we will put on when we are changed.................
Notice what scripture says:

Php_3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Luk_24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
Joh 21:5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat [KJB - 'food']? They answered him, No.
Luk 24:41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat [KJB - 'food']?
Luk 24:42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
Luk 24:43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
Mat_26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
Mar 14:25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
Rev_2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Psa_78:25 Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.
Rev_2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Adam, before sin, with a perfect body, with the glory of God's light around him, ate food.
but, shoot, think as you wish
No, that would be heresy. I think according to "Thus saith the Lord.", and "It is written.", which is why I provided so many references so that none may err, or be led astray.

Can you point to the specific Time Index in the video wherein the presenter said, "eating herbs brings you closer to God"? I have seen that video probably ten times by now. I do not know of the location during all the time in the video to which you refer, therefore, I would appreciate some assistance in you pointing that specific section of teaching out.

Presently, you are merely taking the word of another, rather than citing the original and actual material. Thus my questions to you about allowing others to be your filter.

The only pills that I might take are nutritional suppliments (like Vit C, Echinacea, Goldenseal, etc). I do not drink caffeine (it is an addicting neuro toxin). A "chill pill" (sic) sounds very much like what is known as a 'downer', and that I do not do, however, certain things like magnesium, or a deep tissue massage, or hydro therapy, and even exercise, can help those with anxiety.

no, we will not be urinating or defecating in heaven because our bodies will not require this earthly necessity. Our bodies will be transformed and we will be able to eat for the pleasure and taste not for the nourishment.
That theological position sounds exactly like the Muslims (Islams) "Jannah". A place of pure carnal sensualism and hedonism, a place of not eating for strength and in proper time (JEHOVAH is the God of order and timing), but for mere "pleasure" and whenever (lawless). Eve ate of the forbidden tree by the same rule (between meals) and for her own pleasure (not that she needed it).

Ecc_10:17 Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!

Notice the Hadith recorded in Ibn Kathir's (Abridged 10 Vol.) Tafsir of Islam:

"... Ad-Dahhak reported that Ibn Abbas said, "Wine causes four things: intoxicat ion, headache, vomit ing and urine. '' So, when Allah mentions the wine of Paradise, He states that it is free of these characteristics, as mentioned in Surat As-Saffat . PDF 4250 Ibn Kathir
"... Ad-Dahhak reported from Ibn `Abbas: "The wine (of this life) has four side-effects, it intoxicates, gives headaches, induces vomiting and causes excessive urine. So Allah mentioned the wine of Paradise free of these characteristics.'' ..." PDF 4982 Ibn Kathir
Surah Al Baqara 2:25 (al-Hilali-Khan translation) -

“... And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: “This is what we were provided with before,” and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives) and they will abide therein forever. ...”

* Surah 2:25 (al-Hilali-Khan translation notes) - “... (V.2:25) having no menses [women's cycle], stools, urine. See Tafsir Ibn Kathir and also see the footnote of (V.29:64) ...”

Seems people are borrowing a theology from a false system, whose ties and origins are in Catholicism (demonstrable upon request - another thread), Judaism, Sabbean worship and Zorastrianism.

"Majority" (Sanhedrin) vs "Truth" (Jesus). Your argument appealed to Majority.
