I do not believe works can get me into heaven. The Rod I measure myself against is Perfection, The Messiah.... And always fall short so I believe in the GRACE OF G-D TO NOT ONLY SAVE ME BUT KEEP ME SAVED!!! Those that think works keep you saved or get you saved.... What ROD DO YOU USE?

There for a moment I thought you were referring to either Aaron's rod or Moses' rod. But both rods were effective only by the power of God. So salvation is also by the power of God -- a supernatural salvation.

No trick.... I really want to know what Rod people use to measure their works against perfection... And how they can even think human works can equal Perfection, Messiah... to get into heaven....

Love your post....

Right off I thought of my Shakespear Ugly Stick.......

I'm sorry I though people on Christian Chat were familiar with the Bible....

first of all, by what standard do we define if our own standards are valid and legitimate instead of invalid or illegitimate? by what standard?

Better questions.... You should be my Robin.... As long as I get to be Bat Man....lol … No really better questions!!!! That is what I was trying to ask....

Maybe it's that "rod" is usually associated with either punishment or fishing...... where I'm from anyway.......just saying :)

to be serious about your OP

I use the Gospel of Christ (words written in red) to guide my daily walk with Him in my struggling attempt to live my life as He did His here on earth...........

If you are not serious about my post I do not care but if it has made you aske G-d to reveal Himself to you and Salvation that is what I care about... You can do what you want with my post... just seek G-d and I am happy....

I told you the "serious" answer........... k? Just thought it would also serve to explain why me/someone else might be misled by the Title and/or OP....... Your use of "rod" as a measuring device must be a colloquialism from your area. We do not use rod in that way here.

It's a good subject......and I gave my truthful answer........I measure/judge myself against the Gospel of Christ.....specifically the words written in red.

I'm sorry you do don't the Messianic Scripture The Rod of Jesse… Should I start a Bible study on Messianic Scripture?

I don't use a standard of measurement. My Dad knows me. Knew me before the world was made. Called my name when I was a child, and has watched me grow in his presence ever since. I can't surprise Omniscience. But I do tend to entertain.
