It's at work today all around us. Many false religions, the false teachings within denominational Christianity, the acceptance of doctrines contrary to God's word, i.e.; homosexuality, the general upside-down nature of today's world wherein good is bad and bad is good, etc., etc.

Can anyone speculate what the delusion that God sends and the lie that is believed is, quoted in this verse: "and for this cause, God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie...that they all might be damned who believed not the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
Truth is a standard by which all things are measured. The embodiment of truth is the person Jesus Christ.

In the verse, the opposite of those who believe the truth "had pleasure in unrighteousness". Pleasure is not simply sensual pleasure, pleasing to the senses, but a way that benefits their life goals.

Psalm 149: "For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation."

This is the Lord fulfilling His vision through His people.

So, for those who "take pleasure in unrighteousness" this could be anything the people support that they know is unrighteous or falls short of the standard of Christ.

In the U.S., the strong delusion among the churched is currently attached to politics: people supporting the basest of men and women so that their political views are advanced... as if "the lesser of two evils" is not a choice for evil.

See? Even when the truth is plainly written some will "red x it" to assuage their consciences. This is the textbook definition of a delusion. In this case, it is volitional blindness and deafness.

The lie will be that the Antichrist is the true Christ, the true Messiah. God will allow many to be deluded by this because they did not believe the truth about Christ. Many also loved unrighteousness.

I believe the delusion refers to the deception that will come upon the earth when the Antichrist appears in Jerusalem claiming to be Christ. The world will believe the lie and will worship him. This is the great apostasy of the end times.

Perhaps Judas was one so deceived; betraying the Lord for a monetary gain. In the time after His resurrection, the believers were warned of “many anti-Christs” who were already in the world. There is no need for warning if there is no danger. The risk of deception was always present, I suppose, like a lion seeking whom it may devour. Today, in spite of many red flags and warnings, the pew-sitters are still hopeful for a political Messiah, probably a Republican, who will advance their agenda in the U.S.

God is love, and He loves all people, and He will not give up on the world, until the world gives up on Him.

But He has given mankind only a certain amount of time on Earth, and then He will end sin on Earth.

He is giving the world 7 years to have their way, and cause all people that do not love Him to follow the antichrist, and then when they take the mark of the beast repentance and salvation is no longer available to the world, and He can end sin on Earth.

God warns the saints of the new age movement which they interpret the Bible according to the occult and evolution, and people are still evolving to be spiritual, and a god, and Jesus evolved to be an ascended master, and there is no personal God, and the New Age Christ is the final teacher, and above Jesus, which he is of the same format as Jesus.

The time will come that people will not endure the truth of the Bible but want to hear it according to their own lusts which is the new age movement.

They shall come out at the latter times which is the last days of the last days, and close to Jesus taking His people off the Earth.

They are of seducing spirits and doctrines of devils which they follow Lucifer believing he is a god, and an alien, that gave mankind intelligence, and will help mankind to have peace, and advance, and evolve to be spiritual, and a god, along with the New Age Christ.

They do not believe Lucifer is a fallen angel because they do not believe in a God.

When the Bible says Lucifer fell they interpret it saying he descended from Venus to Earth eons ago to bring the principle of mind to the then animal-man.

Their conscious will be seared with a hot iron which they will take away many people that they do not want on Earth, and take away people for population reduction, and go against all people that refuse the mark of the beast, which they will believe they are doing the will of nature their higher power the God of forces, which the New Age Christ by peace shall destroy many.

The New Age Christ will establish peace in the Middle East and it will result in a 7 years peace treaty, and then the nations governments will come together with a one world government.

The world will be split in to 10 sections with a leader in each section who are in league with the New Age Christ, and he will push the agenda of the new age movement to change the world to that format which he will think to change times and laws.

For the first three and one half years salvation is still available to the world.

They will prepare the cities to move all people in to the cities, and no development can happen outside city limits, and the people become the police force of the cities.

Which is United Nations Agenda 21.

The people will be given a microchip under the skin linked to satellite like a GPS tracking system for humans.

If a crime happens they will know who was in the location, and how close they were to the crime scene.

This will cut out judges, lawyers, and the police force.

All information about the person will be on the chip including finances for it is the one world economic system which no person can buy or sell except those that have the microchip.

All people who refuse to take the microchip they will go against them for they are going against the system of the world.

At the end of the first three and one half years the transgressors have come to the full, and war will break out in heaven in which the devils will be cast to Earth, which the Bible says the Earth has become the habitation of devils which the Earth becomes their holding cell.

Then the devils will deceive all people who do not love God which is the strong delusion He will give all people that do not love the truth, but have pleasure in unrighteousness.

It is time for God to end sin on Earth so He is allowing the devils to deceive all people who do not love Him and that is the strong delusion He will send all people that do not love the truth.

Which when they take the mark of the beast, the microchip, going along with the New Age Christ's system then salvation is no longer available to the world, and God can end sin on Earth.

There are two possibilities.
1) The true promised messiah for Israel, a conquering king that controls the world
2) The greatest man that ever existed with incredible power

Unlikely to be a copy of Jesus, for Jesus returns as God Himself. Jesus is no longer a man.

The antichrist is a man who claims to be God.
I never said he was a copy of Jesus.. I said he would be the anti-christ masqurading as the returned messiah and for the Jews the promised messiah.. For a time anyway..

And yeah Jesus is God.. So the anti-christ would claim to be God if he was out to fool people..

__________________________

The original autograph by Paul indicates the definite article. So the King James is in error in the usage of the phrase 'a lie'; rather, it is THE lie (falsehood, Greek 5579- pseu'-dei). There is a specific lie that those who are deluded will believe. Deluded (delusion*)- plan'-es (G4106, straying, deception). To be clear, believing the lie is the result of being deluded, not vice versa.

*A little etymology sidebar- delusion is from the Latin ludere, meaning to play. If this is an apt/accurate rendering, then I suggest people are being played by the enemy- if that makes sense(?).

This is similar to the passage in Romans 1:25, in which the wording is (again) THE lie, the definite article in operation. The phrase 'for this cause'** is used almost identically as in II Thessalonians 2:11. Interestingly, the California Penal Code lays outlines robbery in section 211 (think John 10:10)! People are being played (to beleive the lie) so that they can be robbed of their ability to choose the truth.

**for what cause? It was because they had 'changed the truth of God into the lie.' This 'change' is better defined as 'exchange.'

Lies come from the father of lies- that old serpent! In keeping with the law of first mention, what was the first lie uttered?

'Ye shall not surely die...'

And what was the second lie uttered?

'Ye shall become as God...' (not gods, as the King James is again in error).

As in the days of Noah, the fallen (nephilim) intended to perpetuate their existence on earth in mingling themselves with the seed of men, by taking 'wives of all which they chose' (Genesis 6:2). And we ought not think that mankind was entirely averse to such a proposition, as we have Genesis 6:5 to tell us otherwise- they were complicit.

Similarly, Nimrod and company, not wanting to lose their place, began building 'a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.'

They knew what occurred at the flood, and they knew also that they would soon incur the judgement of God:

Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top [may] reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

This dispersal would end their unification- a unification intended for various reasons:

1- they wanted to avert being destroyed if God were to bring another flood.

2- they desired glory for themselves* ('let us make us a name'), building a monument to their greatness, instead of complying with God's command to 'be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth' (Genesis 9:1).

*We see the results of attempts to bring glory to self in such as Isaiah 14:13-23 & Daniel 4:30-33. We also see this sort of phenomenon in the creation of mega-churches, magnifying membership over bringing glory to God, elevating one man instead of complying with the commandment to 'preach the gospel to every creature' (Mark 16:15).

Perhaps the specific lie which will be believed is, ultimately, that mankind will not reap what he sows. This truth has been apparent since the fall in the Garden, and is merely progressing to its final conclusion in this time (think II Thessalonians 2:7). This truth (the continuity of sowing & reaping, and the law governing it) is also made apparent in Romans 1:20-32 & Galatians 6:7-8. In those is fulfilled the passage in Ecclesiastes 1:9 and II Peter 3:3-4.

I maintain, though, that the New Babylon is that which was initiated by the advent of the Plandemic, bringing the entire world under the rubric of a new religion, dubbed C****-19. In buying into such a lie (i.e., that there is a virus circulating which causes sickness), the world became indoctrinated/inculcated with the speech (C****ese) of such a religion (think George Orwell's 'Newspeak' in 1984, pg.3 and onward). Obreption is the modus operandi, distraction the agenda, propaganda the means by which the mainstream manipulators foist their deception upon unsuspecting and ignorant people, and deception that which the Satanists hope for, pray for, and engage in nonstop!

I sense that we're in the culmination all things, and that the fulfillment of those things which are not sealed will shortly come to pass.

What is the strong delusion, you ask? It's God giving over to evil those who choose to ignore and refuse the truth. After such a time, one is no longer able to choose the truth. Take it up with God if you don't like that premise; but we see it fulfilled in Pharaoh as well.

We're not completely immune to the lie, as we're tempted by the lie when we become inured to the truth. The truth is exchanged for the lie when one believes the lie to to true.

What is the strong delusion of 2 Thessalonian 2:11,12s 2
What it boils down to is... God is NOT mocked, what we sow is what we reap (Gal 6:7,8) so if we discard and reject the knowledge of God (Truth, His Word)... we will by default received the opposite of God's knowledge (lies, the devil's deception)

Romans 1:28
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient

In other words, God allows those that reject His knowledge... to instead have the devil's knowledge which is n othing but lies and deceptions that are in opposition to God';s Word.

Yes.
God will give some over to a reprobate mind. They are those who have previously shown themselves to be of a stiff necked and rebellious nature. It should also be noted that God has foreknowledge of who these shall be (e.g. Judas).

Romans 1 goes into great detail concerning this phenomenon.

It would also help to post your verse in it's context...
2 Thess 2:
10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Romans 1:28 and context...
18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

My understanding has always given me that the word l, lie, may be taken in the plural, thaqt is, they will be given to believe lies. This seems to be rampant today. At least this is what I am seeing, and hearing.
