You, like the rest of the Pentecostal ilk are but claiming a physical supernatural manifestation of the Holy Spirit which you should have evidence of but do not. This shows an irreverence toward the Holy Spirit and guilt of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. This goes for all who claim but have no physical evidence of their physical claim.
After graduating Bible college, and working up the street in the same town...
A local paper was listing the local events for that week.

On my night off, I responded to one ad that spoke of a professional hypnotist who would be entertaining at a local college.

While seated, the hypnotist explained to us that not everyone is hypnotizable.
He did a short demonstration which some responded to, and others it had no effect.

He then told us who were not effected that we could sit back and enjoy the show.

The ones who were hypnotizable were the ones who were vulnerable to an invisible power sphere.
One that would enter to control their mind into an instant state of delusion. A delusion that they thought was real.
He even performed an act that was identical to being slain in the Spirit.

It was like sitting in a secularized Pentecostal church. No mention of Christ. But?
He could make them enter laughter and into a state of joyous expression...
One could speak a language from outer space. And, another interpret for us.
And, even demonstrated that some on command would be filled with a deeply
moving feeling of love for the person sitting next to them.

It is how witches cast spells.
Same power. Only different packaging, and a deceiving of the one implementing it upon another. .

That is why God gave us the Word of God to protect the believer from demonic deception.
In many instances sound doctrine is to check us to see if we have been walking in God's desire..
or Satan's, for those who walk according to their flesh and emotions.

Its not something to be taken lightly. Nor, as a personal attack.

Not to be taken as some personal attack when the Word corrects and rebukes us.
Its to correct us so we can become alerted, and transformed out of our natural vulnerabilities,
and moved into the Mind of Christ.

In Christ .............

So we have it....

it's amazing you would go to a Worship service of the devil and not give it second thought (professional hypnotist)

But then, liken the experience to a church yet lacks Judgment of one to even go and see a Hypnotist uses demons to control weak-minded people. Then try to toe-tag it to a church you dislike.

The word of God says don't even associate yourself with devil worshipers, yet you went to be entertained by one. What a Hypocrite.

No Pentacostel would ever go to such things, and you think you are more sound than they when you went to a devil-worshiping show for entertainment?

LOL.

Right. Just like this crew.....
Frauds. Every bombastic claim they make is a lie.

Mat 7:22
“Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

Mat 7:23
“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

I know this is my first thread, but I came to this site to ask people's opinions.

God has called me to be a prophet, but I don't understand the point of it. What good is it to know what is going to happen? What good is it to tell people what's going to happen?

When I do tell people what is going to happen, they don't believe me and they come up with any explanation they can to say that what God has shown me will happen won't happen.

Deuteronomy 18:21,22 gives the test of a prophet: "[SUP]21 [/SUP]You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?” [SUP]22 [/SUP]If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed." I will pass that test when what God has shown me comes to pass. The only problem is that when what I say comes to pass, there will not be anyone alive or on this forum to verify it.

Even the most devout Christians on this forum will not be able to accept what I have to say. God is going to do a thing so great and terrible that you cannot even fathom it, let alone accept it. And again I ask, what good is it for me to tell anyone? I fear, and think I know deep down in my heart, that God has raised me up to be the unheard prophet: a raving madman preaching from the street corner about what He is going to do and that no one will listen or heed my warning. And then it will be too late.

Usually, we're given a lesser gift to use and once we've become fluent with it, the Lord will lay it upon such a one's heart to ask for a better gift of the Spirit.

1 Cor 12: 4-11
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1 Cor 12: 28-31
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

Each of the gifts of the Spirit operate by faith and if a believer doesn't believe in them then they will not be able to use them. Add to that that we're in the last days when many prefer to have their ears tickled in agreeable teachings rather than hearing the truth, sadly.

You are fooling no one. You are so deep in the ditch of Pentecostalism you can not see your emperor is naked.

And you have my pity.

I attended a super hard core supposedly Pentecostal service a couple of times.
It was sort of an insane asylum and carnival side show all at the same time.

Frankly I still get the willies thinking about it. And that was 30 years ago.

That is not correct. The Speaking in tongues of those done in ignorance. We're told what they are speaking sounds like Japanese and were then sent to Japan, That was an error. And was addressed Biblically and corrected.

The error was labeling it as supernatural and of God.

God is not the god of confusion and modern day glossolalia is confusion.

It was the lies of those who did the "translating" that sent them to Japan.

They did not go to Japan because it "sounded like Japanese", they went to Japan because the "Holy Spirit" through the translators told them they were speaking in Japanese. This is the blasphemy of the Pentecostal movement, one that continues to this day.

In other words, both the speakers and the translators were blasphemous.

Witches speak in tongues. Tibetan monks, too.

I was told by someone before becoming a Christian that certain pagans have claimed reincarnation,
and have have entered into trances of times of alleged past lives.
And, while in a trance, have spoken the language of the era they were entered into.

Who was there to know those languages? (demons)

Look, you can try to tag me with witches all you like. I never knew witches didn't read about witches, nor did I learn from Monks. I don't have a demon, nor do they speak through me because Jesus Christ is my Lord AND Savior

The context of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit which He the Holy Spirit has used me in are from the word of God Listed in 1cor chapter 12 through 14. I don't appreciate your subtle accusations of one learning of the gifts of the Holy Spirit from witches and Tibetan monks.

To answer your qestion as to who knows the langues that one is speaking in tongues by the power of the Holy Spirt :
1cor chapter 14:2

"2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. "

I am so sorry your witches and Monks should have provided the text for you. I did not receive anything from a demon.

The Holy Spirit's gifts should not be equated to demons. You are free to follow demons and pagans and witches if you like you seem to have a severe fetich with them.

If you again suggest that I am or have associated with witches, demons, or monks in my Testimony of being used in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and do so subtly, I will report you to Admin. You can disagree and even say what I am doing is unbiblical per your understanding. We can agree to disagree, but if you mock and scoff at me and my experience as an immature person in a cowardly fashion, I will speak directly to Admin about that. 1cor chapter 14: 2

It is the word of God. I am not a reincarnation, and I have not entered into trances about alleged past lives. That is foolishness.

The point you keep missing....

Witches continued to speak in tongues after tongues for the church came to in end in 70AD...
Ended after the temple and the Jews in Jerusalem were finally judged by God.

Demons are deceptive. They will empower to deceive anyone who can be deceived.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the
one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me,
‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name,
and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them,
‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’" Mat 7:21-23

Those condemned people thought for sure they were saved. They even addressed Him as "Lord."

God's a gentleman. He will give everyone a chance before its too late.
Your speaking in tongues today means nothing as far as proving you are saved.

Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues,
they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away." 1 Corinthians 13:8

I really take no pleasure in posting that.
For I have relatives that spoke in tongues.

If you wish to know you are saved? Just stop talking about tongues and learn the Word of God
from good teachers like everyone else who is saved is doing.

the point you keep missing, I don't follow witches. The point you keep missing is the proof the gift of Tongues stopped in 70 AD.

Again, the context for those who say Lord Lord is those who don't live as Christ lived. You speak more about devils and demons and yet again use a text to suggest one is not saved like coward as you use Matt 7:21-23.

Who did Jesus say that to? You don't know my walk, and if you were an adult, you would say that to people if they were standing in front of you. I will be happy to PM you my personal phone number or go to a live screen and discuss this in person. You don't know who is saved, and Jesus said that to Pharisees as the context start in chapter 6.

There are no more prophets, sir.
Only witnesses who hold to the TESTIMONY of JESUS.
There is NOTHING that needs to be added to the STORY of our salvation in by and through THE SON..
And anyone who does...well that one is made manifest is a false witness...

Jesus said in Jn 14: 12:
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus is still with the Father, is he not?

In 1 Cor 13: 8-10:
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
While it's true that prophecies will fail and tongues shall cease, when they do that which is perfect will have come, then that which is in part will have been done away.

And in 1 Cor 13: 12:
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Do we know see the truth clearly, or do we still see it as looking through a dark glass which makes the truth a bit hard to see clearly? Do we see Jesus face to face or is he still with the Father? Do we know as we're known are do we still only know in part?

In Eph 4: 11-13:
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Does the body of Christ still do the work of the ministry? Do we still need to be edified? We all agree that there are still evangelists, pastors and teachers, but has all of the body of Christ attained to a unity of faith? And attained the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man? Have we all, as one body, attained the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ?

Just the fact that we still have need of pastors and teachers, that we still only know in part, that everyone us have not attained the unity of the faith, that we haven't all reached spiritual perfection or maturity and haven't, as a group, come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; reveals to us that we still have need of apostles and prophets along with evangelists, pastors and teachers.
When Jesus returns and we've entered into our redemption, we'll have no need of these offices nor of the gifts of the Spirit. We will no longer see truth through a glass darkly or only know only in part.

Rom 12: 4:
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
The gifts of the Spirit operate by faith and are perfected by use unto fluency. If one doesn't exercise the gift that is within each one of us, then that person will not access their gift. will not gain fluency over that gift and will not be led by the Spirit to desire the better gifts, sadly...

1 Cor 12: 4-11:
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. Jesus was preparing his disciples for when they were to become apostles.

Jesus was not speaking to the man/believer in the street.

By saying, "He that believeth on me," would have to include all those who believe on him, would it not?
