Do you see the indifferent reaction Alice put on my informing her that she should give references?

Why would she not care that she is breaking the site rules to post material not her own, and not give references?

If she was before now unaware, she has been informed. I do not see passing along such information as "being harsh."

Especially since she could lose her membership here by repeatedly breaking the rules.

Fair enough, dear sister: point taken.

Thank you, Douglas. I am not a very flowery-spoken person*, being used to paring things down to basic elements
for ease of reading and digestion. Some call it direct or straight to the point. Some appreciate it, and others do not.

*Except perhaps in my poetry, but that is an entirely different matter, is it not? .:geek::giggle:

Let's take a look something Jesus says in Matthew 6: 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Something to chew on and think about.

There is no one single most important thing in this life. Salvation is primary and Christian faith is paramount, it can't be done without for the sake of eternity after the last judgement. However, in this life temporally, different matters arise, and different circumstances cause different needs for different people. That which is most important for one person in one country during a certain period of time is not a life-or-death matter for another person from another station and place at another time.

For example, during the Crusades, nobility protected Jerusalem and priests translated the Bible. Religiously, the most important thing in life was the translations, while temporally the nations were defending their lives and territories against marauding hill tribes from the Transjordan.

Gaining the intelligence on Israel and its history was at that time, the most important thing the west could do, to protect itself from further military advances from the Arabian desert beyond Israel. Now, the Bible is fully translated into our language.

Did he include a source? You should, even if he did not.
 I'm puzzled here though....
If he (the person she got the writings from) did not include a source, then how would she be able to include a source (if it had not been provided to her)?

Her source is who she got it from in that case. But she did know the source: John Beckett

What is most important in life?
In a word, Salvation. This comes only by way of Jesus.

By the time Billy Graham (mentioned on Day 5) was in his 90s, he had lost his wife, Ruth, and many close acquaintances through death. But he always had a friend in Jesus. He stated, “It is the greatest discovery you will ever make: You were created to know God and be His friend forever. This is a staggering truth. Think of it. The infinite, all-powerful holy God of the universe wants to be your friend. He wants you to know Him personally.

Thanks for that, dear sister @Alice1

“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

YES.

We were created to be the children of God, and heirs to the Promise made possible by being cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus.
