When i lived in Tucson ,the church i attended was in a bad area, we used to see them,sometimes half drucnk,id grab and invite them to hear the message,bring in get to know them .pastor didnt like it much,decan rufused to sit next to them,i decided to stop going to that church, nuff said
I,d pick the man up , take him to church, offer him hot meal, a shower , clothing, send him out with money, and good blessings, i shore wouldn,t be playing with my thumbs and drawing , and thinking do I have enough invermation here to make a descion. lmao, your some peace of work.

Usually drinks/food are not allowed in the sanctuary. I'd tell him to discard the wine.
If he asks for money, I'll tell him to contact the benevolence team since I would assume his issues may be more of a long-term thing.
