Hello,

I just flew over the replies, don't have much time right now.

I am flabbergasted by some of the insensitive, judgemental replies here!

You do not even seem to be able to grasp what I am talking about!

I worry not being capable to be really happy cause I cannot imagine being really happy. Gosh!

You seem to be so totally dull and insensitive.

If you can't say anything nice or helpful just STAY OUT!

Thanks to those with helpful replies. Be back later.
I found your posts to be insightful with the interesting points of view presented. You created a good thread for sure. I give it 5 stars.

Do you also worry about this?

What if while we're here we look forward to heaven and everything being perfect and then once we get there

we notice that we cannot really enjoy it or grasp it? Or what if after a while we forget how much this world sucked

and thus our gratefulness declines?

This is scary.

I also cannot imagine being totally happy and without any care, can you? To me this is unreal. I just can't imagine it.

Or what if it's like looking forward to a special event like Christmas and then when you finally get there you don't really

"feel" it?

Or what if heaven is so perfect that it becomes boring, like playing a game and you have all the cheat codes and thus it

loses its attraction? That would also be scary.
Yeah, I was up late last couple of weeks worrying about this. I even woke up in a sweat thinking about it. 😳

There was no sarcasm there, so... wrong again.

I didn't laugh at all. wrong again.

You type as one who doesn't know anything. This is barely intelligible.
Thank you for proving my prior post absolutely correct.

Revelation 21:4
What you are experiencing is of Satan.
Leave it with the Lord and look forward to that blessed day.

Okay, sit there and white-knight for anti-christ whataboutisms and trash the people telling the truth. Pathetic. You have no idea what I do or do not understand about this topic, coddler. The ideas popping up in OP's head should not be entertained for a second, they are lies from hell.

I wonder how it would be received differently if it was written "What if you cannot really enjoy God?" cause there is not much distinction really.

I don't either. That version of heaven sounds really boring to me.

“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65:17, 21-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Give God some credit. Have you seen the magnificent sea creatures deep down in the ocean, or the wonders of the world or the vastness of creation going back to almost the beginning (Hugh Ross spectacular documentary). Meeting up with family, friends, famous theologians now in Heaven, incl pets😂. The fact that our minds are so limited and knowing God's perfection, assures me things so wonderful and joyous await believers😍🙌🙌🙌

Thanks to those with helpful replies. Be back later.

You're on a public forum.
Anyone can choose to respond to what you say and give you their point of view.
I also happen to agree with the majority here that this is something that you're stressing over for nothing.
Leave this up to God and don't worry about it.

I also cannot imagine being totally happy and without any care, can you? To me this is unreal.
Then you're calling God a liar.

I just can't imagine it.
Instead of trying to respond to what God has revealed in His Word about eternal bliss by "imagining"; respond to it by FAITH. You have no excuse not to.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Cor 10:5 (KJV)

One of the things that I have most enjoyed on earth is fishing! Not that I do it often, but when I do, I find great joy in the relaxation that it brings to me. I have often wondered if this is something that will be missed in Heaven! Or, does God have something even better for me to enjoy.
I believe that He will!

Well said @BillyBob .

There are 2 activities that never bore me here on Earth even if i could do them for eternity.

1. Swimming in water and
2. Shooting pool.

Now, if i can't get bored with these 2 activities here and now, imagine or even try to comprehend how an Eternity with God would be.
I think it would be pure joy beyond what we can imagine here.

Heaven? Not Interested!

It's an alien world with which I am totally unfamiliar; and when I leave here, I will
be leaving behind everything near and dear to me, e.g. photos, mementos,
souvenirs, collections, sights and sounds, mountains, creeks, rivers and forests,
clothing and equipment, tools, landmarks, entertainment, hobbies, BFF, keepsakes,
and my good olde reliable 1994 Ford Ranger pick-up truck, etc, etc.

The culture shock tsunami of leaving all that I know & love and going to a foreign
land where I know & love nothing at all, is not my idea of a good time. Personally; I
dread the thought of having to start all over again from scratch.

I'd imagine that, whether we end up in the right place or the wrong place in the
afterlife, we will be just as stressed on our first day there as the first day here on a
new job.

The anxiety associated with death is to be expected seeing as how most of us have
no experience at all with that particular journey. But much of my own anxiety in
regards to death is related to what comes after. Pity there are no guide books
available in print to prepare us in advance for the adjustment folks are required to
undergo as they struggle to fit into Heaven's (or Hell's) way of life.

* The one thing I do look forward to in Heaven is the possibility of a library where
everything that can be known about the cosmos is stored. Carl Sagan would've
loved a library like that because he went to his grave with a lot of unanswered
questions. But now they'll never be answered because Carl was, at best, an
agnostic, and at worst, an atheist.

.
I once heard a minister tell the story of a fictional busload of Hell's inmates who
were given a 30 day furlough for some R&R in Heaven. They all came back the first
night because God's world was such a bore.

There were no wild parties, no clothing-optional beaches, no bars, no night clubs,
no porn, no escort services, no pigging-out at buffets, no fights, no profanity, no
ribaldry, no free sex, no vulgar late-night comedy, no exotic dancers, no X-rated
movies, no junk food, no tobacco, no marijuana, no meth, no ecstasy, no oxycontin,
no fentanyl, no hunting for sport, no fishing for sport, no casino gambling, no political
activism, no civil disobedience, no Tick Tock, and no trespassing, .

And the hellsters didn't particularly care for the isolation. None of the good folk in
Heaven wanted to associate with them: they were ostracized, they were segregated,
and they were quarantined.

Heaven is a pleasant utopia. It's etiquette, its dress code, and its rules of conduct
and civility; were way too constraining for the hellsters. Especially suffocating was
the mandatory self control everyone had to exercise in their choice of words to avoid
hurting people's feelings.

Take for example Wall Street barracudas. Do you really think they'd be happy in
Heaven? Or sweat shop operators? Or influence peddlers? Or lobbyists? Or J
walking pedestrians? Or LGBTQ? Or greedy capitalists? Or unscrupulous social
networking moguls? Or cheap politicians? Or Communists? Or bookies? Or
hoarders? Or black marketeers? Or militant activists? Or Critical Race theorists? Or
1619 Project proponents? No. No. No. You see many of the interests that concern
Hell's people are unacceptable in Heaven; and in point of fact, none of Heaven's
people even want to hear about that stuff. For them that scene is over and they
don't want it back.

You know what else is lacking in Heaven? Religious tolerance. There is only one
belief system up there. What's that tell you? Well; it tells me that the establishment
clause of the US Constitution's first amendment doesn't fly in Heaven. The
theocratic monarchy in Heaven insists upon dictating everyone's religious
preference.

All in all: Heaven's utopian society, coupled with its 24/7 Big Brother oversight,
universal surveillance, and strict morality, was just simply too much to ask in
exchange for some time off. To the hellsters, Heaven was little more appealing than
a get-away in one of North Korea's prison camps.

I once heard it said that Heaven is a place prepared for a prepared people.

In other words; we fit into this world so nicely because we were designed for it. But
if we were whisked off to Heaven's world in our natural condition, we likely wouldn't
fit in; neither physically nor psychologically.

So then, if what I heard turns out to be true, then those of us who make the cut for
Heaven will have to undergo some design changes or we'll end up struggling to
adjust to Heaven's world like the proverbial fish out of water.

@candycane7 ,
If you're still on the forum.

I'm sure you thought of all places on the Net,a Christian community would be the best place to ask your questions. And settle your confusion.

I suggest when you read crass, sarcastic, disrespectful posts that are wicked and without compassion at the start of that post, scroll on.

Don't read it. Because your heart and mind doesn't need that negativity.

Remember this. Just because someone registers as Christian on a Christian forum, it doesn't mean they are Christian.

If you have a church you go to,consider a meeting with the pastor.

Or, take a pencil and paper and write down all your woes, all your confusion. Let it out that way.
God knows your heart.

You may find after you do that, things happen. People enter your life and bring you the answers.

God's angels are everywhere.
You are never alone.

(Hugs) May God keep you and lead you to peace.

Hi, thanks for all who wrote something helpful.

This is a public forum, BUT this doesn't give anyone the right to say another person is not saved!

This should go without saying, at a christian forum! If this is tolerated here then this place is not safe and isn't for me.

If I want to see/hear christians arguing with each other I can just go to youtube. *facepalm*

This is really repelling. I'm rather a lone wolf than to be exposed to people who attack me or just like to argue.

You can put those people who are rude to you on "ignore" so that you don't have to automatically read what they say. Just hover your mouse over their name of something they posted. A pop-up box with their basic info show up. There's a gray box on the bottom left that gives you options to "Follow" or "Ignore" them. Click on "Ignore". There will be markers to show that they posted something but won't show unless you want to read what they wrote.

I think it's nice that you have questions I haven't thought of asking and is making me think about.

And you seem a little happier know that you've belonged and participated in this forum.

So just ignore the people that are rude to you here and continue to participate. This forum seems to be helping you!
