Do you believe there are there any New Testament works from Jesus Christ which are absolutely unnecessary and, if so, which ones?
He didn't have to wake me up this morning
Do you believe there are there any New Testament works from Jesus Christ which are absolutely unnecessary and, if so, which ones?
Sabbath, is merely a Day to set aside for God.is sabbath observation moral or ceremonial?
that's why Jesus said before He ascended: 20. "And instruct them to keep everything whatever I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you every day, even unto the end of time. Amen"*Context! He was speaking to those under the Law. Their only option to enter life was to keep the commandments; the avenue of faith in His blood was not available to them.
There is nothing whatsoever in Scripture that either calls the ten commandments "moral law", and nothing whatsoever that divides the Law into categories. As James explains, it's one Law with many ordinances. Break one ordinance, and you have broken the Law.
That goes far beyond silly yelling to the point of heresy. It's also logically untenable.CHRIST IS THE LAW!![]()
I believe all New Testament Works by Jesus Christ are absolutely necessary.Unnecessary in regard to what? Salvation? Demonstration of faith? Something else?
Yes you do. You have made this abundantly clear.I believe all New Testament Works by Jesus Christ are absolutely necessary.![]()
i bet His Disciples heard this [especially Matthew] and bet they Obeyed, and they were Believers and CHOSEN hand-picked by God.
unlike, you and myself.
I believe all New Testament Works by Jesus Christ are absolutely necessary.![]()
i understand, but this is as clear as day what Jesus said before He ascended:it's actually recorded what their reaction was.
they were greatly astonished and said "who then can be saved??!!"
it made them think salvation was categorically impossible.
Sabbath, is merely a Day to set aside for God.
it's a Moral Law, not a physical Law.so, ceremonial?
i understand, but this is as clear as day what Jesus said before He ascended:
20. "And instruct them to keep everything whatever I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you every day, even unto the end of time. Amen"*
this means, ALL the TEACHINGS of JESUS, we are to be KEEPING!
instruct [[[them]]] = future Followers of Christ, like You and Me...
just so happens we're technically observing it on Sundays....remember when Church used to be ALL DAY Sunday?
i remember Sunday School, then Church Service afterwards, we break for food, and gather together on Sunday Evenings.
i miss those days...
End of time or end of the age?i understand, but this is as clear as day what Jesus said before He ascended:
20. "And instruct them to keep everything whatever I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you every day, even unto the end of time. Amen"*
this means, ALL the TEACHINGS of JESUS, we are to be KEEPING!

they were already fishing and Jesus just assisted them in that.amen
but does this mean we should all go catch a fish whenever it's time to pay our taxes?
or some things were not instructions for everyone or for all times?
The Church made that decision, now didn't they.ah then that isn't "sabbath" - and by "observing it on Sundays" it's ceremony, not morality.
until we're finally with Him.End of time or end of the age?
we can observe that in our hearts and minds.
The Church made that decision, now didn't they.
so ask the Church.
yes, but i am a Follower of Christ, like the Disciples and Paul were.the commandment is to ceremonially act differently on a certain day.
the intent of the sabbaths He gave to the Jews was a sign to teach them that He is Who sanctifies them.
i would say that understanding and keeping this in our heart, is not constrained to any particular day. so it is the righteousness of the commandment we keep, not the letter.
righteousness is moral. performing a certain set of actions or refraining from certain actions on a certain day is ritualism; it's ceremonial.
