The word of God is alive.
 
Our spirit quikeneth by the words of Christ for they are spirit and they are life.

John 6:63

@fredoheaven ,Spirit gives birth to Spirit?.....flesh gives birth to flesh?.......what does that mean?

I believe the KJV got it correct and there's no problem with this. We are save by the 'faith of' if 'we believed in Jesus Christ".

The problem is when people try to argue that "OF" implies that it's Jesus' faith and NOT OUR faith, as if we don't exercise faith "IN" Christ.

Other verses in the KJV say faith "IN" Christ.

Acts 24:24 - And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith "IN" Christ.

Galatians 3:26 - For ye are all the children of God by faith "IN" Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 1:15 - Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith "IN" the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Colossians 1:4 - Since we heard of your faith "IN" Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,

Colossians 2:5 - For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith "IN" Christ.

@fredoheaven ,Also,how do you know this to be true.....yes,it’s Gods word...and it is TRUTH....but how do you know God has quickened you?

Surely you know this as a born again?

What do you think? Me think the Spirit of God works the regeneration to our spirit (small s not to confuse) if we believe in Christ (Gala. 2:16). Hope you can also provide scripture so we can match and compare spiritual things with spiritual (1 Cor. 2:13). Will that be okay as FG say we need to harmonize. Thanks

How do i know this is true? Are you doubting God's word? I believe I have already pointed this out. Just one word believe.

@fredoheaven Spirit gives birth to Spirit......we have been made alive in Christ..quickened by God....

Flesh gives birth to flesh........human birth....alienated from the spirit of God.

So you worked for your salvation?.....

How can you believe first,without being quickened?....God saves not yourself.

How can one work his salvation by believing what Christ said

I don’t think you are understanding the context of the scripture.....never mind,best we agree to disagree...

We believe differently @fredoheaven .....you believe you had a choice......I believe I had no choice.
