Pride is the Number One sin in the universe. It's no wonder at all that all the world's religions (save for biblical Christianity) teach the sufficiency of man in improving himself and all the dead works that naturally proceed from that worldly philosophy that the sons of men believe will save them when they meet their Maker.

It does not stop at what we learned so far...
No more than we can be sustained by yesterday's meal.
Problems arise when some of us wish to keep pushing some pet doctrine of their liking.
One that they keep trying to find ways to perfect ways to defend it.
And, in that process, neglect growing in The Bible's vast array of diverse doctrines God desires us to grow by.
We have not been called to defend any pet doctrine.
Come back a year later, and it's the same person defending the same doctrine...
Doing so will cause a deficiency in our spiritual life.

No, we have been called to defend, preach and contend for the TRUTH.
And a year from now, you won't be defending your pet version of the Gospel?
The truth is the Person of Jesus and the Way of Jesus and the Life of Jesus. it is not a set of propositions.
He might get it some day. But...
He wants something too simple to have to change.
It makes him feel like he has power and control.
Power and freedom that God would give him if he would only keep growing in learning the full realm of the Bible...
Something that very few are willing to suffer for to do.

And the Truth is the Word which Jesus was faithful to teach (Jn 17:17). Notice in this text that Jesus didn't pray for his Father to sanctify "them" by or in or through him -- but in the eternal Word of God. And what about the Gospel Truth? And how would any of us know what the Gospel is apart from the objective propositional truth claims of scripture. Also see Mat 4:4 in which Jesus quotes from the Law (Deut 8:3).
But I'm not surprised that you wouldn't be a big fan of the written Word. The farther you distance yourself from it, the easier it is for you to malign it, twist it, pervert it, criticize it, etc.
Once you became born again, you ceased being as what Adam had caused man to become.
Adam caused us to be born spiritually dead.
Adam's sin was crucified on the Cross.
The penalty for Adam's sin was paid in full.
That is why we were able to be freely made to be born again.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
old things (Adam's sin included) have passed away;

I fully understand that born again Christians are no long in Adam because now we're in the Last Adam, and as you have correctly stated that makes us new creatures in Christ.P.S. And Christ not only paid the penalty for Adam's sin but for all our own personal sins.

It sounds like you think there is some original version of the Bible that has been ever-existing in heaven. The eternal word of God is the Son, NKA the Lord Jesus Christ.
Despite having what you call the objective propositional truth claims of scripture, there is a range of opinions on what those truth claims actually are and/or mean. And yet saints, who have different opinions on what the truth claims are and/or mean, are still able to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and become more conformed to His image by knowing Him. So, there's something else at work transforming lives. other than just having a more accurate interpretation of Biblical truth claims.
I am a huge fan of the written word of God. You don't seem to be a very good at reading people. I don't recall ever maligning, twisting, perverting or criticising the scriptures. Disagreeing with your spin on the meaning of scriptures is not the same as maligning, twisting, perverting or criticising the scriptures. Your version of the scriptures might not be true to the actual scriptures God blessed us with.
You guess correctly, We don't have Adam's sin imputed to us. Do you have a scripture which says we do?
The Cross prevented the imputation which would have demanded that all of us be forsaken by God.
But, Adam's sin resulted in the fall of man just the same.
If Adam's sin was imputed to Adam as Adam's responsibility- without the Cross?
Then Adam would have been killed immediately, and we would never have been born.
Revelation 13:8
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written
in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Even before Adam ate the forbidden fruit, God had the Cross already removing the imputation result from his sin. With imputation, Adam would have been struck down after he ate.
Romans 8:4
"Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin."
That does not mean that the same man spoken of in Romans 8:4 will not sin.
Instead of imputing, God now disciplines us when we sin, rather than imputing our sin and striking us dead.
If someone continuously persists in sinning? In God's timing, that believer is removed from earth.
For God will not allow him to continue to sin.
We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin;
the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil
one cannot harm them. 1 John 5:18
The sin unto death sends that believer immediately to heaven, where the Devil can not harm him.Either way, we remain God's "precious property" forever.

I presume you are speaking of the Baptist Confession. I stopped reading the Westminster confession for this same reason. Big brains complicate things at times.
You don't recall because you have SPMS (Selective Poor Memory Syndrome). You have so soon forgotten how you impugned the integrity of Job (and by extension the entire book) because of your out-of-context interpretation of one verse.
And then you forgot how you tried to pervert the Gen 3:15 passage several months ago because you didn't like what the passage said about the "woman's seed", and I had to correct you by calling to your attention the hermenutical principle of original audience, etc.
Or what about passages like Isa 1:5-8, Jer 17:9, etc. by telling me that my interpretations of these kinds of texts are poor because I lifted them out of context? You try to limit the extent of the application of these passages by arguing that they only applied to Israel, as though either the Gentiles or the Jews are not part of the human race, and therefore, the human condition of man doesn't apply.
So yeah...you certainly are not above twisting and perverting what you don't like.

So...yeah God's words are as eternal as his Son is.
