Believe me, I've thought plenty about leaving here in recent years albeit more politically motivated than weather.
Yeah... A friend of mine took a vacation to Seattle last year. A West Tennessee hillbilly in Seattle, of all places. He told me enough about it that I think I will stay here.

He did confirm a theory of mine. I believe people are people, no matter where or in what group they are. Down here some Christians try to be more holy than everyone around them. Up there some people try to out-woke everyone else.

No matter where you go, you will find some people who try to act like they are better than everyone else.

Makes me want to try very hard to avoid going to any islamic countries.

Out woke? Now that is a good one. Is it like the Pharisees of the Woke movement?

Pretty much. Even if you don't live in a woke area, you can see it online a lot. People try to prove how woke they are, and that they are more woke than you, so they can feel good about themselves by making you look unwoke.

There's a few of them in every group. That one guy who insists on ONLY skiing down the most dangerous hills. The biker who keeps bragging about hammering (riding hard on) the single tracks. The gamer who won't shut up about how you're not really playing the game right unless you play it with self imposed restrictions to make it harder, like pistols-only. Every group has them.

I am thinking about how time seems sped up compared to 10-20 years ago. A few years ago there was a guest on a radio show who asked his scientist friends if they thought time had sped up and to his surprise one of his physicist friends said time did speed up and he explained how but I don't remember what he said. Something to do with the planets and I think the sun. Anyway, the guest also said that he asked God why it feels like time goes by quicker and God told him that He has sped it up for a reason. I forget the reason.

Very interesting!!!

I am also thinking...

I wish I wasn't so impressionable.

There's a financial chat I check in on and one of the members calls himself Cheese Pizza, so of course, whenever I see that name, I really, really want to pick up a cheese pizza (or 3) at the store.

Why couldn't have have called himself Supreme Pizza or Thin Crust Vegetable Pizza instead? I don't find those nearly as enticing.

But a good plain cheese pizza (and/or one with mushrooms?)

I'll fall weak to temptation every single time.
I heard you. Me too sometimes!

I personally find time like lightening speed. As I have a lot of time on my hands at this season and for some reason it is flying by so fast. I ask God to help me make the most the time because the days are evil, you know? Lord Help Us All. :giggle:
