Well, today’s the day we’ve all been waiting for (not really but really)
The lunch thread is now here.
Do you work a 9-5? How about a 4-midnight, or something like that?
Well, if you work a job, or you are a living human being, we have something called a lunch….some people partake in this meal, some people just have breakfast and dinner.
Anywho, I figure I’d start this thread with one of the most basic lunches ever in existence….peanut butter on white bread, with a cup of 2% milk.

Can’t get anymore basic than this….or can you?

Anyways, share your lunch creations with the rest of us.

I dunno whether I'd call my lunch today basic, but it's a lunch a lot of folks in Oklahoma really like. Fried chicken livers. I think these are the best I've ever made. Mercy. Oh, and that's spinach on the side.

Lunch thread is great for me. I tend to eat more of a snack for dinner/supper/whatever people call it. Lunch is most often my bigger meal of the day. Thus, my posts might not be basic lol.

I made this yesterday all from scratch and had leftovers today. Tasty. Bbq pizza with shredded chicken breast, red onions, shredded Gouda, shredded mozzarella, bbq sauce, and basil...

Making tasty Santa Fe Bowls today (ground turkey, zucchini, summer squash, onion, red and yellow bell pepper, corn, black beans, garlic, spices). Having a tankard of cold green tea to go with it.

Don't know about that 2% milk as I much prefer whole milk. Love PB&J's.

I prefer whole milk as well but I am a big guy, and my dietitian said I should probably cut all dairy out of my diet, so I went with lactaid 1% or 2%.

Also, I used to like jelly/jam in kindergarten and after that, I just never liked it again. So i mostly eat a straight peanut butter sandwich

tomorrow, for lunch, it's steak & lobster at a restaurant of my wife's choosing, in the albany area.
I could eat steak every single day. In fact, I used to haha. Nothing like a good ribeye.

I once went to a restaurant called MEAT in Santa Monica with a couple of long time friends. We ordered their best steak, which cost $300 total for one steak, so we all shared it.

Apparently, they have the steak sit in a specific, almost room temperature, for a month, before they serve it to you.

I still think the rib eyes I get from Amazon and make at home taste better though.

It was a great experience. Not sure if that place still exists. It was so empty before Covid that I don’t think it made it past that year.
