Lost people? I allow Scripture to warn them as in the wages of sin is death
Perhaps Westboro's protests are aimed at other believers.

Having said that, John 16:9 also teaches us that unbelief is also a sin.
It is not unbiblical to preach against the sins of the world or to warn them. Both the lost and many professing Christians will pull the "don't judge" card on this. It is their go to card, like a leftist "race card."
This is not an endorsement of Westboro as they don't appear to preach with gentleness or love. I've yet to hear them preach the gospel, or of Christ.

I'm not surprised that I came under attack from supposed brothers.
People tend to go on the attack when they hear something they don't like.
In this case I was asking about Westboro and quoting the Bible.
I don't support Westboro's Calvinist doctrine, but I do think they have a point when they basically say that other Churches have gone soft on some parts of the Bible, for instance warning against sin.
Some people in this thread did not like me providing a rebuttal, and that's ok.
But it's possible that the people who took to attacking me do not live by the scripture I quoted, despite claiming to be a Christian.
I'm not claiming to be perfect either, but then again I'm not attacking anybody over the internet just because they effectively pointed it out.

In Romans 1 Paul preached against the sins of the world which is why it is polarizing and why the world knows and hates the chapter.
Romans 8 begins with "being judgmental" by exposing lost man as unpleasant to God, unable to please God, sinful, unable to come to God. That's really judgmental isn't it?
Christ did this as well in the SOTM mentioning repentance as necessary, naming sins and eternal judgment. That is for the lost.
The sins of the world are also preached against in the book of Revelation, notably Revelation 16:11 and Revelation 9:20-21. It is interesting that repentance here is in fact about turning from sin, something the world did not do and something certain say is not what repentance means.
To the lost the entirety of Scripture in essence is preaching against its sin, guilt, and coming judgment. Paul warns about this in his epistles, those to the Thessalonians are an example. It is a warning to the lost.
Take the attack with a grain of salt, some live to attack others as soon as they post apparently. I didn't see the necessity of this whatsoever.
By the way, I am a so-called Calvinist. Hope that doesn't offend you.

With regards to being a Calvinist, I am not offended, but I do expect you to be able to rigourously justify your belief (1 Peter 3:15).
Consider what Paul said, here:

Jim Jones had good teachings, but when he wasnt preaching he was asking your wife to strip naked in his office. IMO good teachings mean nothing when your action show you to be a complete scumbag, the westboro church goes out and protest peoples funerals of all things. if you investigated these people you would probably find they are supported by some fundamental atheist group that wants to make Christians look like idiots.
I don't see how protesting American soldiers funerals and holding up signs saying "God Hates Fags" qualifies as a "Christian duty".
When when Jesus met the woman at the well does his approach match that of those from Westboro? How about when the adulterers woman was brought to him? Is this the way he treated her?
Telling someone about their sins should he about love, not using the Law as a weapon.
And, really, calling out a persons individual sins is rather pointless, for non-Christians. If you convince a non-Christian to quit a sin, that doesn't change anything for them in God's eyes.
I'll be sure to accept a strangers claim and ignore every Bible translation I've ever read.

You should ignore all translations of the Bible except the KJV, for all others are false.
The KJV says love too. And this KJV only thing is a tired topic on this site. And despite the hours of people preaching their worship of the Gospel of King James, not Jesus, I've still yet to be convinced.
And, as if, these little nuggets of wisdom you casually throw out without any backing are going to change anyone.
I ask this innocently, as a relatively new Christian...
One would expect consistency in the translations of the Bible, so if the KJV is fundamentally different should we trust it as a faithful representation of the values of Christ and the word of God.

I believe it is the preserved word of God in English. There’s one and then there’s all the rest.
The manuscript evidence from which it came, the trustworthiness of every word, it’s fruit through the years, the time in history in which it came, etc.
