Welcome. I lived in Yemen in the 1960's. Yes, I'm that old. It was a far different and better place then.
Originally English, now in Australia. My father was in the RAF and based in Aden. We left when civil war made it too dangerous to stay.
I loved it there. My mother worked for the Yemen government. She was driven to work by a chauffeur driven limousine. We lived like kings. It's a long time ago.
Ships sailing to Australia used to stop at Aden. It was a tourist destination. It's not so easy now!
