That is not what I believe. What I do believe is that the God of the Old Testament was the pre-incarnate Jesus, while the Israelites for the most part followed and worshipped false satanic gods.
That is not true. The I AM is God over ALL things. Clearly, with their idol worship and human sacrifice the people worshipped another and Satan goes by various names.
As I say. They deserted the I AM, and as there is only one God, they basically turned to Satan.

God made a covenant with the OT saints
if they would follow His law and woship only Him
then He would be their God.
The Israelites boke this covenant throughout the ages but God remained faithful
even to the extent of sending the Redeemer, His own son as promised. The Jews
plotted and arranged for the Son to be killed, in doing so brought down a curse
on the Jews that has lasted 2000 years, they lost their temple, they lost their
land and they are alienated from God by despising His Son. God however will
bring them back, He will not cast off forever.
The tribes and people's surrounding the land of Irael were a poisoned people
they worshipped strange gods (note the small 'g') one god was worshipped by
burning children alive in fire, other temples had male and female prostitutes
like modern day India. As a result the people showed their sin in their faces,
eaten away with venereal disease. Their gods were rotten and this rottenness
showed in the faces of those peoples, even their chidlren inherited those
terrible diseases.
God's people were to be a holy people, no fornication, not adultary, no homosexual
pratices, no bestiality, no abortion. This holiness showed in their faces, they were
pure except for the curse of leprosy.
God's law still stands, be faithful to his laws which are common sense to keep us clean.
But human nature is so depraved since the fall we are always tempted by the flesh.
So bad is it that even ministers of religion smoked tobacco and could not see they
were destroying the temple of God. Some saw it and refrained. Any stimulant can
become a habit, and some can hold man in a fierce grip like alcholism.
Man isn't happy with bread, plain food, a little cheese, a little meat. Man always
is tempted to overeat, and die of heart failure.
I am that I am, or I am who I am is not God's name but an explanation of who God is.
God's name is known in His attributes: perfect holiness, Mercy, Power, Love, Grace etc etc.
No one can compare to God, Jesus is God the Son, the Spirit of God works in us,
the Father is not greater than the Son, none of the three greater than the other
all in perfect harmony sharing the same attributes, there is a distinction in
God between the three, but not separate, they are always one. Hear oh Israel
the Lord our God is One.

but look what I suggest when you don't agree is not to make it personal.
If you say, 'You ignored this or that', or 'Don't try to teach me.'
Those are personal statements,
try to make them impersonal, like, 'I see in Genesis this,'
or 'I wonder if you could consider the Masoretic text on this, I find it useful.'
That way is to avoid rage and accusations and counter accusations.

Nothing to do with following His law, it is impossible to keep, so instead He wiped our sins away on the cross.
Trouble is, most people put the things of the earth first, and Satan is the god of this world.
We have the New Testament, that is true but it is the New Covenant that brings us closer to God.
The New Testament brings us to God through the death of Christ. A testament is not of force until the testator is dead. God made a covenant with Israel, a promise of land and blessings. The law is the Old Testament which required the death of animals. A covenant can be in force without death.
The New Testament is the New Covenant. Have a look on the page before Matthew begins. And, the New Covenant is for all people.
The two words actually mean exactly the same thing.
However, in general usage, "new testament" refers to the collection of first-century writings, while "new covenant" refers to the covenant God makes with believers in Jesus' blood.
So we Christians have both.
Testaments are not in force until the testator dies. Covenants are in force through words. God makes many covenants throughout the OT Scriptures, Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, etc.
Hebrews 9
15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
