you are a good guy, i agree with you most of the time, but dude- let go of this prophecy thing.
you are not one.
just trust the Lord, trust His Son will return on His timeline..
hate to bring up the planet x thing, but,,,,,
There was no "prophecy" on my part in that post. It was simply exegesis.
Peter and Andrew were both called while casting out nets for fishing. It seems they were sent out together when the Lord sent them out two by two, at least Peter and Andrew were mentioned as a team. I see this as indicating they were more of an evangelistic mindset (whereas James and John were called while in the boat and so the sons of thunder may have had a more -- preaching from the pulpit mindset).
Andrew is the one who asked the Lord when will these things be and what will be the sign of His coming.
Peter is the one who peppered his gospel and epistles with references to prophecies being fulfilled.
God tells us in the Old testament that He alone can tell the end from the beginning. Prophecies that have been fulfilled, that are being fulfilled and that are yet to be fulfilled are the bread and butter of evangelism. This is what unbelievers need to hear so they can know that God is God and there is no other.
Why has organized religion lost so much impact with the world and why are so many churches half empty? Oh and also why is it that they refuse to discuss the prophecies in the Bible even though they make up 25-33% of the scripture (pattern is prophecy, and if you take that approach you can easily consider 33% of the scripture to be prophetic).
Have you ever been to a church service where they ask if anyone is there for the first time? I have been to many like that and I would see anywhere from 0 people to as many as 6-8 people. My blog "summary of Bible references on the rapture" gets 2,000 new visitors each week.
So no, I reject anyone who advises me to ignore the Bible, or 33% of the Bible, or 25% of the Bible or whatever.
I realize I get mocked and ridiculed by some for that, but the curse causeless will not alight. I simply pray that the Lord's word would be fulfilled, that with what judgment they judge they shall be judged and with what measure they measure it will be measured to them.
