In 2006, Reporters without Borders (Reporters sans frontières, RSF), a Paris-based international organization that advocates freedom of the press, started publishing a list of "Enemies of the Internet". The organization classifies a country as an enemy of the internet because "all of these countries mark themselves out not just for their capacity to censor news and information online but also for their almost systematic repression of Internet users." In 2007 a second list of countries "Under Surveillance" (originally "Under Watch") was added.

big shenanigan's in Russia today all day. I wonder whether the war will end and Putin be either dead or arrested??
Looks like a coup to me....
Two major military airfields and cities seized by Prigozhin and Russian military units joining Wagner. There's a convoy heading to Moscow of over 100 vehicles and not much to stop them. Especially when some of the military is joining Wagner. The citizens also don't seem to support Russian troops either.
This war is interesting in a couple of ways.
About just under half 44.6% of the Republican party has swallowed the ridiculous Russian propaganda hook, line and sinker. Making me wonder about their sanity, ethics, and morality. Obviously when they are this divided they don't stand a chance come next election cycle. I'll be surprised if they have a decent candidate for President.
The Democrats have only 20% that have done the same. Which is totally out of character for them considering their stance on moral turpitude issues.
Then you have the Russians....they can't afford to stay in this fight...and can't afford to lose it either. They currently have the lion's share of their fighting troops in Ukraine. As Ukraine continues they keep whittling down the Russian troops to the point that the areas behind the front lines are completely void of personnel....and at some point that front line is going to pop like a balloon. Defensive positions are great....it's better when you actually have troops to fill them. And that front line is very very long. Putin's reputation and leadership is at stake especially since the naval base in Crimea is likely going to be lost in this fight. The insurrection last week is a portent of doom for Russian leadership.
The Ruble outside of Russia is worthless....nobody sees it as having a future. They will have to issue another currency eventually....especially since groceries fell another 20% in their stores recently....meaning someone got a little zealous in their internal propping up the Ruble. And they really didn't have the reserves to spare.
And one other amazing fact is Ukraine itself. They have become extremely nationalistic. And as a result all the corruption they once had is being purged. People are going to jail for all the things that Russian propaganda has accused them of....over and over again. Forcing people to join the military? Jail! War crimes? JAIL! Unscrupulous procurement procedures? JAIL! strong-arm tactics? JAIL!
And on and on it goes. Lots of corruption is going away. Publicly without going internationally. These people are getting treated like Russians....except the Russian soldiers are getting better treatment than these guys. Where things are not perfect they are definitely changing for the better.

This is a preview -- we will see this in the US when the war comes here -- this is why hundreds of thousands of enemy combatants have crossed our border and been prepositioned.

Britain's Foreign Office issued an alert to tourists thinking of travelling to France, as the violence continued to deepen following the fatal shooting of 17-year-old boy Nahel Merzouk who was 'executed' by French police during a traffic stop on Tuesday. His funeral is being held today.

Well in some ways he is an idiot....
He really doesn't know how to placate a mob...after all this is France. France tends to kill their kings.
But in truth it's the immigrants that are rioting. France has taken so many in that they have coalesced into a mob....especially due to the Russian phishing sites and absolute bombardment of propaganda. The French are ready to declare war on Russian already over the situation of electronic warfare. Everyone likes to claim the USA is racist and racism runs rampant in America....
Nothing could be further from the truth. We don't intentionally starve minorities or steal from them when they do find a job. They have the same access to courts and legal rights as everyone else. That doesn't hold true in 90% of the world. I've seen real racism....the USA has race baiters and propaganda campaigns from outside our borders. No true racism exists except for reverse racism where minorities are given preference over the majority.
And France is rather racist against everyone except for your small community of ethnic French...everyone else is excluded from your exclusive group. Italy and Germany are some better than France...but not by much.
Russians are extremely prejudice....which is why Russia hasn't built a mosque in Moscow even though they annexed Chechnya.
My hypothesis is that when the dam was blown up it destroyed the water supply for cooling the nuclear power plant and that put us on this path where the plant would have a catastrophic failure. That is why they both pointed fingers at each other for who was responsible for blowing up the dam, and since then they have both been claiming the power plant is going to fail.
