It is disrespectful, and ILLEGAL. I say that because the person and the dog had to be trespassing on private property, right?
I appreciate your input and that was definitely a funny comment. It took place within the confines of an apartment complex so basically it’s community property but in my opinion there’s no reason for anyone to allow their dog to urinate on someone’s possessions or belongings. Chances are now other dogs are going to urinate on that same vase.
Don't leave stuff outside if you don't want nature to get on it i guess. Another thing to note is that with dogs they tend to mark over each other so a dog probably peed on that vase before that other dog came along. I have a neighbor who's all proud of her garden and one day i just watched a cat literally mist every single plant before leaving the yard. I didn't say anything though because my neighbor is a snob but i bet those greens had an extra kick to them.

This was your chance to make a citizens arrest lol dogs are going to do their business anywhere the owner lets them.
It was probably embarrassing and they hoped no one noticed. What do you do? You want to take the dog out so he doesn't get in the habit of relieving himself in the apt but there's no yard and... no way to collect the specimen without... hey, that might be a much needed new invention idea right there!
There is always the option to "curb" your pet. Here in Spain where I live there are a lot of do parks and parks allowing them. I carry a bag, 2 that is, and pick up after my little one, and going there and coming back I do not allow her to stop anywhere to pee. She manages and has well learned to do her duties in the parks. I confess once, in the middle of the street I relaxed her leach, and dshe took that as an ok to poop. I cleaned that up right away, and learned not to relax her leach, lol.
Doggie diapers?
I thought of those but, if you look at doggie reviews, they hate them.
