There are many here who ask us to send them money so they can get their visa's to enter the USA. Those people are scammers. Are you going to India, or trying to help someone get into the USA from India?

Yes i have looked into that site. Someone told me that you have to have a certain amount of money in the bank. You would also need a itinerary (someone taking responsibility for you).

Sponsorship, asset level, depends on the form of visa. Determine which kind this person is applying for and the website will list the requirements. You can also call the dept of state directly or this person can go to a U.S. embassy. The visa process is incredibly bureaucratic, one wrong form can set the process back for months. you want to follow the instructions to the T directly from the source, instead of relying on anecdotal information, so go through the department of state website or call during the weekday.
