Yeh but I thought God reveals Himself through creation. Secular music, is still an act of creation.
Why would he be taping his toe? Did he injure it? Or is he planning to dance ballet? And what does it mean "to along with you"?
Exactly. I had the same thought about the bands I liked when I was dealing with this back in the 80s.
I still like some secular. But since Jesus Christ came into my life I also enjoy Christian music too. I can identify with what some of them are saying.
Unfortunately for me, I found few Christian bands that write the sort of music I like (80s wave, post-punk). There are a few, but only a few (Declaration and Mad at the World are the only ones I found to date).
But it's not a topic per se, it's a cudgel that The Jimmy is waving at anyone who disagrees with him.@JimmyTheLock
I agree with you about what you said about 2 Timothy.
Indeed one way He speaks to us is the through Word of God.
Some secular stuff invites temptation I agree. Especially for the weaker amongst us. But so does certain food if I’m on a diet. And perhaps women if I was a man.
I agree if it hurts us don’t go near it. Or it we can’t avoid if we ask for help and He will show us a way out.

And, if secular music is doing that to someone I know, I won't play it. But, if I believe their walk is secure, I'll let God deal with them on that.
