See me that way if you like, I cared a lot about USA and the west, not long ago. Too much. Became angry at the very stupidity, and downright evil and selfdestructive politics you are angry about. But something changed in me, got some sort of a strength and calm, then I started reading the bible without getting any of the nonsense news and politics for 3 months. And then I was no longer angry about politics. Much better. If I prayed I could perhaps pray, but praying for a country seems weird to me. It became clear to me that we are one nation under God, christian people. So the nationstate thing is a bit over for my part, emotionally. But can conversate about it legally and agree.

The time on earth is a time of suffering and tests before we die in the flesh, and are reborn into heaven in spirit. That is the salvation, is it not? It is what the bible is about, it is what we should have learned from Jesus days on earth. If you disagree, I do not know what to tell you.

Off topic, amd certainly off my comment. Very much in the land of I do not care, not my nation. The founders were mainly christians, they founded the nation without a statereligion, to protect religion from the rulers who may come later, who would not be as upstanding as the founders were. They had foresight, so christianity is somewhat protected in USA still, unlike west europe. Which was of course also a must at the time, since european settlers had a large portion of persecuted religious minorities, that had to bound together under one nation when fighting for independence. I cannot find any fault in the founders, I think.
