Fourteen children and one teacher have been killed in an elementary school in Texas. There are children in hospital, condition unknown at this point. What has happened to America. Beyond heartbreaking, how horrific for the families.

Do they have a motive on the shooter yet?

Not that I have seen. I believe he shot and killed a family member before he decided to rampage the school. He was 18, they believe the police shot him.

All the students in that school were in the second, third and fourth grades :cry:
 
May God have mercy on those who died and may God have mercy on the rest of us. May He comfort the families of all those in pain who are suffering spiritually and physically. This is just beyond words.

There has been an update to 18 children and 2 adults. :cry: Tonight they are in the arms of Jesus, as hard as it is for the families.
 
Horrific and heartbreaking. As a father of two children in elementary school this makes me very sad and angry.

I have no children but I prayed for my nephews as I sat watching the news. The school would have been closed in two days, which I'm sure it makes it even harder.

I see what is transpiring and what appears to be total lawlessness. Truth has been suppressed and wickedness of the human heart runs unfettered. The only real conclusion is that a nation is given over to a reprobate mindset. How long would God be mocked? How long would His grace be taken for granted? God had punished nations for their evil ways, including the nation of Israel, and yet somehow we were under the impression we are exempt from that. Only a foolish and haughty people could conceive such a thing. I have prayed that maybe God would turn His anger away, and humble a nation to turn back to Him. All one can do is ask for mercy.
