eg if there is a weapon you would hide it or lock it up to put it out of harms way
for example, I dont keep my craft knife out in full, view of any of my children. I keep it hidden in my drawer.
I put the methalated spirits on the high shelf out of reach

stuff like that.
 
I thought Texas was originally the wild west anyway

has it changed from cowboy times when they had regular shoot outs? I dont think so

in the US, people with guns are looked at as heroes, so, unless you change the culture, stuff like this will keep happening. Gunfights and shoot outs are glorified. drivebys are televised. Movies celebrate guns...everything is resolved with guns. schools are no stranger to them (movie...Heathers) its kinda casual

its the whole 'western' mentality. Fight for your turf etc.

its kinda weird seeing people deny their own gun addiction

its like alcoholics insisting that drinking alcohol is not their problem its just everyone else who wont let them drink.

isnt it obvious
they like shooting ...people, animals, children doesnt matter to them
if you gonna shoot something, why not take up photogrpahy or shoot some pool
or go to a shooting range

or do something useful like hunt rabbits or something.(for food)
cos they didnt stop at just one and it was random people

like alcoholics can stop drinking, most sober, normal people that drink they know their limits, alcoholics dont and dont even know or care about the consequences when they get pickled. Try reasoning with an alcoholic when they are drunk, you cant.

thats why they need to go to rehab and live in a place with no access to alcohol and learn to live without it.

so, same with guns. except identifying the gun addicts would be the hardest part because, nobody wants to admit this, own up to it, or actually recgnise the problem. and of course the weapons manufacturers dont want to say anything, cos thats how they make their money

its not like they going to compensate those parents for the loss of their children killed by their bullets are they.

i have an idea, why not have schools IN Jail where there are supoosedly no access to guns and it will be safer for the children and teachers.

evreryone outside can access them, but if you in jail I mean school, its not allowed.

addicts deny they have problems but they might remmeber the day they go their first weapon and took their first shot, what a thrill, up to then they probly were dreaming about it and being obsessed and practicing with video games.

but anyway, an addict is an addict no matter how long their hangovers last. some binge. mass shooting is a binge behaviour. I dont know how many bullets are in a gun barrel but, mostly people seem to shoot them till they run out of bullets

Pretty odd that you are trying to use the addiction analogy on people that own guns. The vast majority of those that legally own guns never commit crimes with them and in fact there are many examples of legal gun owners preventing all manner of crimes including murder.

Now those with illegal guns are completely different as they are all used to commit crimes and very little is done by government/law enforcement to stop that including all the murders committed.

But still a gun addiction? Please!
