In WWI soldiers would urinate on rags and cover their nose/mouth because the ammonia neutralized the effect of mustard gas attacks. Now that was during wartime and a lot of horrible things happen, but to drink it for health purposes….it’s an old eastern practice that has caught on with the “new age” movements here. I don’t know…to me it’s not very Scripturally sound so I’ll pass…

Peace

Wow, I just looked that up because I hadn't heard of that before... it's true! Interesting historical tidbit, GoingFree! But yeah, escaping a chemical weapon would necessitate rather extreme measures, I'd imagine.

That other stuff, just nope. So much nope.

I read about this urine treatment to reverse chronic illnesses like cancer, diabetic, high blood pressure and even hiv. To drink your own urine just sounds like a health hazard and very unhygienic. Can anyone share some light to this?
There is something called "The Eastern European stomach." For some reason people living where the Iron Curtain used to be or descendants of those people have terrible stomach ailments -- sensitivity to the foods most of us take for granted, diverticulitis, Chrone's, GERDs, IBS, cancer in the bowels, etc. It seems to end with, "Errrg, I don't feel good. My stomach is...." Hubby is half Polish and he has it. An old friend of ours is Ukrainian originally and she had it bad.

She tried everything. And everything she tried "really worked." They were even selling pills several years ago made out of human feces. (Sterilized, of course, but EW!) She loved it. Claimed it fixed everything. And then she was trying something else, so apparently it was one of a long line of things that didn't really work for her.

Yeah. If you're in pain, you'll try anything. Somewhere along the line, you'll figure out most of it doesn't work. Most of it is no different than the alcohol sold as "Dr. So-and-So's Magical Elixir" a century or two ago from the back of wagons. If people are in pain, they're willing to buy anything to stop it, so an industry has been created to con them out of their money.

I wait for the science to come out. And then I wait for it to stop being so expensive. Half the time by the time I can afford it, there are class action suits against it anyway. lol

Hubby simply stops eating what makes his stomach go wacky. He hasn't eaten red meat since the last century, had to give up on peas and corn a while ago, perogies are still being debated, and I really miss kielbasa. (Sure, the Polish guy teaches me all about these foods I never heard of growing up, gets me to like them, and now we can't eat them. lol)

No opinion. Have never tried it, at present don't quite understand the reason for it, and have not seen many studies on it. I would doubt it can live up to claims of curing cancer, diabetes and other diseases.

That being said. It's great for feeding plants. Apply directly to soil or dilute to 10% if it's going to touch leaves and foliage.

Urine Therapy can control and cure all chronic diseases if it is adopted in a proper method. It is the safest method of treatment and it does not have any side effects.

Do you know why beer passes through your body so fast? It does NOT have to change color!....No, I am not a beer drinker, but the topic fits your urine therapy comments to a 'tea" lol

I heard that if you get stung by a jelly fish you're supposed to pee on it. Not sure if they mean the jellyfish or not tho.

God made our bodies to eliminate "waste" and "toxins" through the urine.
God also made us to have a natural aversion to urine... for our own safety.

If you want to ignore the natural way God made your body,
and the natural aversions God gave you toward waste-products...
then go ahead, drink your own pee.

It's going to be full of bacteria, and anything nasty that's been filtered OUT of your body.
If you want to drink THAT... hey, go right ahead.

Ya know, there is a reason that you turn on the tap and get fresh water instead of urine.
This isn't complicated.

That's actually true. Urine is sterile enough to use on wounds.. Back in the old times, that's what soldiers did if they were wounded and had nothing else to sterilize the wounds with..

I don't know...peeing on anything except the ground or in a toilet is pretty counter intuitive as far as I'm concerned....but you can bet I'd sure pee off a cliff if I had the chance. lol...BTW Bug...how on God's green earth did you get up to a 74 rep points? I mean you're reputable and all...but 74....I think I'm gonna protest that. Lol
