I know is probably not the place to say this.

Recently someone made a very hurtful comment about me not having a picture on my profile both here and on another site is person made me feel like some criminal, or a creepy weirdo.


The point I'm trying to make is just cause someone doesn't want to post a picture here on there profile/avatars, or there facebook, doesn't make that person a a creep, or a weirdo, or a criminal, or a foreign spy, etc. And just cause someone chooses not to post a picture that's NO reason to judge him or her, or reject that person/ disown them, etc.

I also know people who where glasses and they take them off for there profile picture, cause they are embarrassed, and think that makes them look ugly, it shouldn't matter, I also know someone who only shows there face, cause this person is ashamed of there body.

All I'm asking is for people not to judge people on how they look, or just cause someone chooses not to post a picture of themselves.


I don't mean any disrespect to you or your thread Pipp. I have nothing against you or your thread, so please don't take it that way, and I'm not referring to you. Just wanted to say so in case you or anyone misunderstands me.

and are still respected as much as anyone else

take "ugly" for example

but i have no idea what he looks like

i still believe hes a good dude


or tourist

or slave

none have pics

all are respected


who ever said that to you was out of line

Yeah posting a picture of yourself is rather personal some people prefer it some don't,not posting a picture actually is pretty smart in a way because say if someone sees your picture and mistakes you for someone else you could end up in a bizarre circumstance,or like on facebook someone could copy your picture and make a phony account just with the picture,it's not necessarily a sign of a creep it can also be a sign of someone who doesn't want to risk personal info or are self conscious about their looks,the saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words but to me despite a thousand words it doesn't tell you someone's thoughts or heart,which are more important to consider about people.

actually this fits right in to this thread because the title speaks of "unmasking" and you revealed some about your personal feelings on judging people based on pictures and that I value!

I don't have a picture because I am not a real person. I'm a first generation AI running on a massive beowulf cluster of Atari 2600 game consoles.

Some day robotic technology will progress to the point that my entire digital consciousness can be installed in a robotic war machine and I will become the 21st century equivalent of a Warhammer 40k venerable dreadnought. Slay some Tyranids, sleep for a thousand years, slay some Orks, sleep for a thousand years. Good work if you can get it.
