Both Latino and Hispanic denote the Language spoken not race or nationality. Hispanics are from Spanish speaking nations i.e. Spain,Mexico ect. and Latinos are from Latin speaking nations like Italy and others. Spanish is called Vulgar Latin or the language spoken by common people. The name originally vulgar meaning from Vulgate not vulgar meaning bad,lol it's sort of like everyone in the US now days using Genre to denote groups in arts, music, movies and mispronouncing it. It came from the French word that's pronounced Zhahn-rah which is also derived from Latin(the G is pronounced silent ZH) Anyway though there are Black, white and every other race of Hispanics or Latinos.

Lol when Sp*nish is the tongue you hate the most but Latin is the tongue you like the most. Ironic ain't it?

And i'm not sure if @Squigglylines is aware of accents in one nation either. For example North Italy and South Italy speak a dialect so different that you need an interpreter to understand what they're talking about. Albania is the same way. They have 3 dialects.
Spain is no different either and some dialects over there are so identifiable as a group of people where they created the biggest rivalry in sports in Spain to have them "fight it out".

I love how technical you get on these things and even though you are correct theoretically on the root language which is Latin, the reality is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay different than theory.
For example if you said "You are Latin" to an Italian in Italy, they might report you to Vito Corleone. :) Just saying, i'm actually giving you some advice if you travel as a tourist (at all) to avoid some faux-pass.

Yep if you go to South or Central America they don't see themselves as a different race but in the US census records the United States always saw it that way. Even in Spain it's self 81.3 percent of the population is white European. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Spain

Well that's then the ethnic difference, the Italians and Greekoids of the Balkans are Javan, but the Hispaniola of the Spanish and Portuguese are Tubal. Will give the Spanish credit, despite their overly breathy dialect and tongue sounding like a perma-telenovella, their history is pretty epic, and the Christian reign of the power couple Isabella and Ferdinand is definitely an inspiration to try to emulate; a golden path synthesizing Christian religion, strong politics, and science.

We always spoke Spanish and English when I was growing up. It was really a mixture though when my Mother would talk to us boys she said a few words in Spanish and about every 3rd word was English. Just when we boys were running screaming and such in the house though. She could speak both really well but it just came out mixed when she was mad at us boys. My Father could speak several other languages.

Tongues are interesting, but we speak only English and Murican slang up here lol.

That's an interesting technicality too which i didn't know about.
Of course the reality is different but it's always nice to know how WIDE the gap between theory and reality is sometimes.
This is why the left fails big time because they have no real world experience.

Yep Texas is a big diverse place, more so than people think. I thought this map really sums it up where they took and tried to fit several nations into it to show it's size. https://www.newgeography.com/conten...nows that Texas is,in fact smaller than Texas.

Agreed. USA is big. California's budget rivals that of Germany and in Europe, Germany is considered an economic powerhouse.
But what do you, who might identify as a person who speaks no languages (according to Texas) love the most about Texas?
What's your favorite thing about Texas basically?

There's a secret that they always bring up every time they talk about ceding from the US that's that in population from 18-36 years of age is about 13.3 million. Now if half are men and half women you could raise at least a 6.5 million man army. If both men and women then 13.3 million could be in reserve, active duty ect. in rotation. Comparing that to the current US active military there are only 1.3 million in the military.

Yeah in popular culture, North Italy and South Italy wanted to split at some point in their history due to major cultural differences but it didn't happen.
But did you even read my question? :) I asked what do you love the most about Texas? :giggle:

Yea I read it and that's all I could come up with. In the 60's when I was a kid Texas was a really nice place but like I've said so many times, over the last three or so decades it's been all downhill from there. After Bush Jr. took over then Perry and now Abbott you cant fish or hunt anymore. You can it's legal still but if you toss a line out your gonna reel in garbage most times. The water stinks real bad if your anywhere around Galveston Bay from pollution and septic runoff. refineries ect. If you try to hunt then the creeks have old tires and everything that wasn't tied down in everyone's backyard that the rain grabs and washed downstream with it. Everything from up in the northern states also run downhill so don't even think about any places where the rivers meet the Gulf. The west is ok but you cant live there because the companies that drill water wells charge you if they hit water or not but it's so deep most pumps cant pump it even if they hit it. There's pot holes everywhere and I mean big ones. On the road we take going to town there's one so big the smaller cars hit it and pops holes in their oil pans. When you get to it everyone who knows it's there drive's in the ditch around it. That's why I say the things about the Republicans in Texas running the State Government. The great hope is that the Republicans in other places in the US are nothing like those in Texas because it's not much better than a third world communistic nation after thirty years of them running the place.

@Squigglylines thank you for sharing that and i hope you had a nice Thanksgiving and i wish you the best Christmas too!
I'm gonna call it a night and i'll see you again when i'll see you.
God bless you and have a wonderful week ahead.

It's all starting to make a lot more sense now why Hegseth wanted the media to sign that agreement to only publish what he authorized.

Texas congressman Troy Nehls: "If Donald Trump says jump three feet high and scratch your head, we all jump three feet high and scratch our heads." On apositive note, Nehls has announced he won't be seeking reelection.

I wonder if it's just a coincidence that chapter 10 in Hegseth's book The War on Warriors is titled "More Lethality, Less Lawyers."
