By the end of the first century, likely most of the Christians were non-Jewish. Paul's efforts to bring the gospel to the gentiles saw to that. The churches he established around the Mediterranean would have grown and multiplied, while the church in Jerusalem was scattered and Jerusalem itself, and most of the Jewish nation, were destroyed in or around 70 AD.

I haven't seen this anywhere in Scripture. Please provide a reference.

I am not going to go back through all postings to quote the many people who express that they are new covenant people, the old covenant is gone.

I think everyone knows that I am often scolded, here, for the attention I give to the principles of the Lord told of in the OT. Often, my posting about OT brings a warning of the dangers of the "roots" movement, saying that going into he roots of Christianity is dangerous.

The year 70 made a huge difference in the Christian church. Before that the church councils had Jews at the head, after that the Jews were dispersed and killed in the war and the gentiles became the head. The gentiles simply did not know the principles of God or anything of scripture as the NT was being developed and scripture was OT at first still have many of the documents telling us of their conclusions. It was the council at Nicaea 300 years after Christ when all the many interpretations was sorted through. Then they were led by the idea that the Jews denied Christ so anything Jewish should avoided. God had used the Jews to show his principles to the world, understanding these scriptures is necessary to understand the Lord.

One quote you asked for is Matthew 5:17
"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
