I get your point, but it is not that I do not believe my prayers won't be answered, I was making factual statements of what has happened or not happened in regard to the persons request. But, no matter how much I try, yes my unwavering faith in delivery of prayer is poor due to not knowing if God will or will not due to lack of delivery in the past. Just "faking" a confidence in delivery to have more faith, leads me to be let down when it does not arrive.
and here is what im trying to tell you... I learned this after watching videos of pastor David yongchi cho who was surely anointed by God and blessed having the largest church congregation in the word. We ( you and I) need to level up.

If you are training at the gym and walking 20 minutes, yes, its working out. 3 x per week. Yes its working out.
If you 5 train 5 hours a day, count every calorie, protein, fat and lift weights hard until exhaustion.. its also working out.

same for your spiritual life.
There are dudes on here who are already leveled UP. ... I made that post on how much time do you pray ..etc.. I learned there are dudes who pray 5 hours or more per day, they start 4 in the morning... They fast 2 days a week, etc etc.. read the bible for hours and hours

Do I do that? NO... so Yes I also need to level up. Say you have leveled up to what is humanly possible and you did this for 5 years.. and still nothing.. OK.. I get your gripe.

You remember the four friends who helped bring their paralytic friend to Jesus by digging a hole in the roof and lowering him down to Jesus?

Mark 2:1 A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. 2 They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. 3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

I think @dave44 is like that paralytic right now - unable to help himself to get to Jesus. Notice that it is the faith of his friends that Jesus saw that got Jesus to help the paralytic.

So let us be friends to him and pray for him. I think he really needs our prayers.

An Angel of the Lord says to Cornelius

“your prayers and your alms have come up before God” . I had to search up what it means.

in Acts 10:4 highlights that God took special notice of Cornelius’ actions, indicating a response to his sincere devotion.

While God does indeed hear everyone’s prayers (as seen throughout the Bible), this specific instance emphasizes that Cornelius’ combination of prayer and charitable giving was particularly pleasing to God, prompting divine intervention. It teaches that acts of faith and kindness are meaningful and can lead to special recognition or favor from God in specific circumstances.

The prayer was answered, which was no, but that was not what he prayed which is exactly my point.
So that is the point! Did Paul know what was best for himself or did God know what was best for Paul! God ALWAYS KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR US! He knows from the beginning to the end. He always knows!

There have been many times I didn't receive an answer. But I always remembered this, that my Heavenly Father always but always had my best interest at heart! ALWAYS. He must teach us faith and faith is a combination of two things. TRUST and CONFIDENCE! I trust Him that HE is who He says He is! And that He will do what He says He will do! Jesus has to learn trust! On the cross at the end of his life, the Father pulled back from him. "Why have you forsaken me?" But Jesus knew the Father and that He always had is best interest at heart.

Will make you understand what God’s Timing for your life
There are times in our life when there will be periods of stagnation. We may experience feelings of hopelessness, tiredness, and ultimately feeling stuck. It makes us question God’s timing when the people around us receive new careers, relationships, opportunities, etc. You may question why you are not receiving those same things. This feeling is a part of life and not unique just to you but this is also the start of something new. God’s timing is perfect.
Recognize your Call
Each Christian has a call on their life. Recognize that Satan knows that God has placed a purpose inside of you that if you reached your full potential you would help bring people to Christ. He is actively fighting against it whether you know it or not, Christians who are not growing in their power/wisdom on their walk with God won’t experience much pushback from Satan because they are not a threat to his kingdom. Spiritual warfare is a sign that you are progressing and maturing in Christ. Use that momentum and pusshhhhh. Push past your place of comfortability in prayer, reading the word, and fasting.
Figure out your season in God’s Timing
Knowing which season you are in is crucial to knowing which actions you should be taking. This can be done by seeking after God in prayer. If you need some help with prayer. This article can help. What is the Purpose of Prayer? Stagnation could be a sign that God is calling you to take a sabbatical and rest. If you choose to use that season to work instead then you will not have strength for the next season. God could be calling you to press in and spend time with him. If you choose not to do so then you haven’t built the skill set necessary to sustain blessings in the next season and you could lose them. Find out what it is. This is very important because this is a gap that causes Christians to waste precious time and delay or even miss their purpose in that season.
What does the Bible say about God’s Timing
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says:
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ecclesiastes%203&version=KJV
Praise him in Advance for his timing
Praise is a weapon of warfare against the enemy. Many Christians do not view it as such and its power. Take, for example, putting on some praise and worship before starting a task that feels daunting. Sing to God and show gratitude for what he has already done in your life. Gratitude is powerful. That is why New Age religions and many other religions practice it. They are not Christian but they understand the spiritual law and power behind praise and worship.
Remember that you do not control timing
Therefore as children of God, we have to be humble and acknowledge that all of our goals and achievements have not been accomplished by our might but by the power of God. (Zechariah 4:6) When you internalize and appreciate this fact it takes the pressure off you and instead allows you to lean on God and his word. It places less honest on you and more on God. This is countercultural because our current society places so much emphasis on oneself and what one can do to better their own lives.

I hear you brother, I'm at a fork in the road and trying to figure out what to do! Waiting for direction and or doing nothing is not easy.

I hear you brother, I'm at a fork in the road and trying to figure out what to do! Waiting for direction and or doing nothing is not easy.
That is my issue too. Waiting for something or nothing. It for me gets draining like battery nearly dead inside, repeatedly praying for the same thing over and over again, even though we are told to like in the parable of the crooked judge who does justice to stop the nagging woman who won't leave him alone. But, Paul prayed 3 times for a thorn in the side (blindness?) to be removed/healed and he said Jesus or the LORD let him know God's grace was enough. Which simply sounds like, "no, get over it".

This seems to be contradictory yet God knows best. Paul was picked for a mission and this may have interfered. Maybe he would not need Mark with the "parchments" or whatever, and "potentially - bridge quarrels" etc. Who knows. But, my issue is, I have not been selected with a flashing like from Jesus with a task like Paul. I'm a loser with no Pharisee training, winging it, waiting and guessing with no answers like "my grace is enough" but simply continuing to wait. That is the grating wall headbutting feeling sometimes. Then, I give up because there was no answer or delivery. Was I supposed to give up. Was that my answer, silence? No-one knows. That's my issue. Faith is not the issue. Paul had faith above us all. Yet still he kept his thorn. What can I do except pray for others and hope that others get something out of it, as I know I have had basically nothing out of it.

It always, or the significant changes in particular, as far as I am aware, "always", come from me making mistakes and learning badly from them. I sometimes get the odd video to put me in a better track or back on track with truth, but little else. A nice surprise of a meal or a treat of some sort, of insignificance, to stop my whining is what mostly happens when I get emotional or angry. Only with emotion do I get results.

If I have punched myself for getting angry at not doing anything, I force myself to go out and do something and results happen. Miraculous "coincidences". Or if im depressed and want something in particular to eat or a drink, I somehow get one free or made for me during the day etc.

But, there is not one "big" thing answered or done in my life that I currently know of that God seems to have done (although technically everything is done by God), that results in anything "meaningful" or "helpful in a big way".
- No healing,
- No family saved yet or others that I know of except those in another country,
- No help in church,
- No love,
-No friends,
-No skills or Job prospects of use to get me out of my parents house (still a loser),
- No peace of mind or certainty of direction (im stil guessing and winging one),
- No rest, and more.

But I still trust God and have faith in salvation, I simply feel that God either will not, or does not, or other etc, be clear about what He will give do or not overall. The bible seems to not be clear on these things except salvation. There is no clarity on how much emotion, how much time, how much loss or pain or complaining or faith, or belief, or what type of belief or what type of faith, or what actions or other, are demanded or required to "make sure prayers are delivered upon". Or whether they will never be delivered upon. Because it is not God's will.

Therefore, after a while, when nothing changes (11 years etc) I think I get the point. God has his own plan and goals and the ones I have prayed many times do not come into it.

Other than this, self affirming songs and messages and prayers, or what others call "affirmations", will work in part to change a persons mindset, but only if it does not conflict with christian principles. Meaning, do not idolise riches, but being rich is not sinful in itself. Or wanting healing so you can get more money and work more, is basically greed etc most likely. Anything beneficial to growth as a better christian is probably useful as an affirmation, but this is also "self-works". Not the doing of God directly. Only indirectly, as God does all things by the Spirit etc.

You see the circular issue of self defeatism I have to deal with. The lack of hope due to such vagueness of outcomes. Hope for hopes sake, or give up on the prayer. Is it that important a prayer? Should I bother? Or should I be more specific and write it down and keep focusing with my own will. Is this not the "spirituality" of todays "will it into existence"? What to do........

anyone care to share circumstances of unanswered prayers? Famously, Paul asked for the thorn to be removed from his sides but God said no.
I'm curious about others unanswered prayers but love to hear real life stories and how you delt with it.
In my humble opinion, one cannot pray for success in love with the woman that we fall in love with. It's because God respects the freedom and free will of everyone of us. He cannot force to love Him or some other person, if they don't want to love. So, if we beg God to give us that particular beautiful girl or woman for a marriage, this prayer will be unanswered. Jesus can only sigh when He hears it.

This is an example.
