The "cannon fodder" Russians are the prisoners and mostly those conscripted by Wagner....the new Russian Regulars are not allowed to take part in fighting...they are backups and there to shoot those Russians who flee the front lines. Or if everything goes wrong to be a "fourth line" in a three line assault. (No spoils of war for newbies)
Currently Wagner is no longer recruiting for Ukraine...they are recruiting for Africa instead.
The 1980's Tanks are because the Russian artillery is getting worn out. 10K shells per month wear out a howitzer. (We use smooth bore...no rifling) so the tanks can fire the same shells....and since Russia has lost most of its counter battery systems...they know there is going to be a lot of incoming. The new panzers from Germany in Ukraine are already moving before their shells even land. Return fire is pointless. They also can connect with the Ukranian's counter Battery system remotely and blast the tanks or artillery before the shells land. (NATO equipment is superior)
The US is NOT running out of munitions. We have plenty in reserve. What the REAL problem is that the manufacturing is slower than they are being utilized in the Ukranian war. So as a part of readiness this is going to be addressed and the situation fixed. Ukraine is getting NATO equipment....not our latest and best. We have better.
Let's put it this way....pulling a cell phone battery won't help anymore to keep us from listening in or knowing where it's at. We will see you long before you see us....and you will figure it out when you meet Jesus face to face. You will never see the shot coming and there's no where to hide from it getting to you.
I have seen numerous prophecies that this was going to happen stemming all the way back to the cold war making Russia the enemy instead of an ally. Russia being an enemy is what funded the CIA becoming a huge cancer on the world and it is the reason we embraced China as we did. Obviously if people of prayer led the country we would have had a different foreign policy, but the FreeMasons want to rule the world and they understand to do that they must kill 80% of the people.
Russian regulars ARE now taking part in some degree at the frontlines, albeit limited. The large majority remain as reserves, close by and ready to be deployed in an instant. Tick tock.
As to the rest of your post.....all that I can say is the Ukrainians continue to be slaughtered at something like a 8:1 ratio. Endlessly pounded by Russian artillery, drones, rockets etc.
Its a death sentence for those being literally kidnapped from the streets of Ukraine and thrust into the cauldrons. And these poor souls are intentionally targeted due to the fact of speaking Russian, and/or other Russian connections and attributes. Entire companies wiped out in mere days.
As for the supposed incoming wunderwaffe.....you do realize that it is mud season right? And promised at mere token numbers that will never tip the scales. As for promises of Abrams and jet aircraft? Fuhgeddaboudit.
But all of this rearmament talk is irrelevant. Because Ukraine is RUNNING OUT OF CONSCRIPTS. Its a demographic disaster.
I expect that the thousands of newly trained Ukranians will be ready with a plan in about a month. It ought to be interesting to see.
The mechanics and repairmen have been training for a year already. (Lots of theater with this war) but now with the new tainees...they ought to be capable of some advanced tactics with the new equipment...at a time when Russian resolve is weakening.

so, if that were so, liberals had complete of both branches of congress and the president., why did they just not vote to repeal the 2nd amendment ( right to be armed) and do a gun confiscation?

You do not understand US law. The Federal government cannot institute gun control laws. In the US the State and the city have those rights (a well regulated militia). Hence all of this talk is complete hypocrisy. Everyone knows it. If NYC or Chicago or LA need more gun legislation they will do it.
Meanwhile NY State, California and Illinois do not pass restrictive laws for the state because they know that guns are essential for our agricultural industry.
It is true that Ukraine must needs a third army built from scratch. However, feasibility does not exist. Not by a longshot.
But the more pressing matter is the horrific assault against Ukrainian Christians and Orthodox Churches and clergy.
I could post many videos of this phenomenon. It is indeed ongoing. And the Z govt is doing nothing to prevent it, on the contrary it is fostering the assault.
Interestingly enough, I ran into the (or an) answer to my question from Col. MacGregor: he says there are approx. 20,000 Poles in the ukrainian foreign legion.
If Macgregor is correct, I'd say that Putin telling his army that they are "fighting Poland" is not so much propaganda.
Yes, it's true that rifles do not counter heavy armor- there are other things for that. You use the rifles on targets that are susceptible to bullets.
I know- you're probably just repeating what Joe Biden said; but even he knows what he said isn't true.
I know very little about Joe Biden or American politics generally. I do know that an armed citizen against an armoured vehicle is going to end badly for the citizen.
Certainly the way it turned out in Tienanmen square. Oops, they didn't have guns, sorry bad comparison. No Afghanistan is a much better example, they had guns but not much else. Oh wait, another bad example, the Afghanis won that conflict.
I think the point is if you are an invading force that wants to occupy a land you don't want to level it to the ground and you don't want the 300 million people to all have guns in their homes.
Sure, if you land with 3,000 tanks no one with a rifle will be able to stand against the tank. But the US is a very big country and if you saw the movie "Saving Private Ryan" you know there are many ways to take out a tank. No one will stay inside a tank as they go 3,000 miles across the US. They will have to stop, refuel, reload, repair the vehicle and take breaks. Imagine having to go door to door throughout the entire US trying to track down all the guns? You would need a million men for that job if you even hoped to do it in a year. Meanwhile the populace will be hiding those guns everywhere making it exceedingly difficult to find them.
Also we have very many veterans who know military tactics, strategy and how to fight. Guerrilla warfare has worked all over the world.
Instead of attacking the tank try taking out the supply lines. Take out a few fuel trucks and the tanks grind to a halt. Kill a few mechanics and the tanks grind to a halt.
Perhaps while the soldiers are sleeping you could pour gasoline into a tank and set it on fire. Even if it doesn't destroy it, you could still cause significant damage.
So, in my link here, Biden made a very similar statement; his was a little more extreme. He said that for patriots to take on the federal government they would need f-15's and nuclear weapons...
But the reality is, if (god forbid) there is ever some kind of mass-conflict between patriots and federal government, it is not going to go down like a conflict with another nation-state, where our Air Force just bombs the heck out of everything, and then the Army mops up with their superior firepower; It would be much more like, as ZNP has said, a quagmire like Afghanistan, except worse, because there would be soldiers deserting, defecting, and not following orders... and as the Capitol Police, after Jan. 6... killing themselves. It's not something that I ever want to see happen in my lifetime.
