I agree, however, thinking back I was initially one of those who supported Ukraine, I thought I had good understanding of the conflict, however, eventually with information given to me that was irrefutable I changed my view point.
Sometimes it is indeed a waste of time, for me it was a one off so I was more open, however it people have a liberal/left world view as did Jaybo very hard to shake them loose from their delusions or if they are emotionally invested, no point at all.
So you are saying that the Republicans were wrong then and that the Republicans are still wrong today?
Because in both instances it is a Republican led Congress that made the laws that force Biden to give Ukraine the Aide they are getting....

That Ukranians should just roll over and be ready for Russian slavery....because those who were enslaved in Crimea were enslaved....those who escaped joined the Ukranian military to try to liberate their neighborhood and their homes.
Trudy is pulling the same stunt with his "Just Transition" nonsense.
Transition from stability and prosperity to energy penury, concomitant social disorder, perpetual crisis and then civilian and soverign bankruptcy.

I suspect that the Ukraine HAS SOMETHING that Russia wants for purely economic reasons, and "Justification" was never even a consideration in any of this fiasco. "Business" doesn't CARE about "morals", or "Right and wrong". Nothing matters but the bottom line.

Honestly, I don’t think squeaky clean choirboys works well in times of crisis.
It's been Ukranians ports in Crimea and mining operations in Ukraine. Not to mention the huge amount of groceries grown there in their flat areas with a much longer growing season than Russia.
The Crimean ports never freeze over in the winter the way the Russian ports do. Just a few pipelines and viola...Russia can sell more oil AND the Ukranian agricultural products must be sold to Russia for whatever price Russia wants to pay. Because Russian Oligarchs don't like paying market price for groceries. They sell them for market price or higher....but they have been strong arming Ukranian farmers for decades.
It came to a head after Russia sized Crimea in 2014. (They had a Russian Oligarch puppet as their leader) In response Ukranians cut off the main water supply to Crimea with a dam. (Their military was poorly equipped or trained at the time....but they have been preparing heavily since Zelinsky came into office.)
Russia has been heavily using disinformation and propaganda since Zelenski came into office with reports that he is a nazi (Zelenski is part jewish) that he uses drugs, is a thief, and all sorts of propaganda. Especially that those who speak Russian are poorly treated by Ukranians. (Russian Government gave Russians money to buy property and live in Ukraine...just so some would live there) Russia's initial assault was successful only because some Ukranian officials in Southern Ukraine accepted bribes. (Strong armed into it)
One of the prisoner exchanges recently was of a Russian Oligarch that was one of Putin's best friends that was in the government in Ukraine. (Smelling a rat yet?) Putin was in charge of the KGB....how does he even know anyone in Ukraine? How did this guy get get to be important in Ukraine?
Now that Ukraine has cut ties with Russia because they get treated better by the entire world outside of Russia....all of a sudden Russia invades. Go figure eh?
There are times you need a mean junkyard dog in a street fight...and God has raised up these leaders for our benefit...so we can have lives and a legacy.
The difference between you and I is that you trust these "leaders" and I do not trust them as far as I can throw them.
In fact I would indict then arrest Putin, Zelensky and Biden (and many others) then put them all on trial if I had the power to do so.
They are all headed to the lake of fire BTW.
