Haii! I am a 13 year old Christian and I recently found out alot about this "new age" stuff. (Don't be fooled by my age I have alot of info in this brain 😂) Alot of people like to believe that Church is a building. Some even believe that niv bible is the, (I quote) "true bible". I do not see any facts. My question for those of you who believe in this: Q1: Where in Scriptures does it say, that I have to go "church"? Q2 Where in Scriptures does it say that "church" is a building? Q3: why is it that its translated in the english we all speak nowadays when it was "written" in 1010? My answer to Q1: It doesn't, there isn't one Scripture that is written so. In fact I recall Jesus (himself) led people AWAY from synagogues. Why would the Lord Jesus Christ do such a thing? Because those buildings are pagan. Because it isn't written to go to those buildings. My answer for Q2: It doesn't say Church is a building. (Ooh again, another lie we've been told, I'm not surprised!) Church is the Body of Christ. Yes, not a building. The actual BODY of Christ. Well who's the Body of Christ? Well the body of the living Jesus Christ. No, no its us. Us Christians. You can do the research just look up KJV before and then carry on with your question. My answer to Question 3; (Drum roll please, you knew i was going to ask questions that have bad results to them) Because.its.Pagan! I'm, sorry but God? Speaking like how we do nowadays?! I could imagine how that would go; "What's good fam, i just wanted to shout you and tell you my word" ???? (for my fellow Londoners) the Scriptures are Holy and Perfect. Why would you need to *change* it in order to *understand* it? That just doesn't sound right. If you don't understand it. There's something wrong, but "yeah i need to change it so *I* can understand it"?! Why would someone even think about changing Gods word? Just in order for them to understand it. If you ask me, its just disrespectful. But I hope i have somehow gotten some of the truth into your hearts. (because i know how stubborn we humans can be when we've believed in something for so long only to find out that, most of it is a lie) but anyways God bless, may the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. 💘

Hello xChristianGirlx, and welcome to CC...

Genuine Christians (as opposed to "churchians") would have no issue with your comments about questions 1 and 2. We know that the Church is not a building, and that "going to church" is simply a common phrase that is equivalent to "joining with other Christians for worship, fellowship, and edification". It's a convenient convention, not a command. However, what is commanded is that we "don't give up meeting together" (Hebrews 10:25).

Regarding your question 3, your comments are rather convoluted, so I'm not sure I get the gist of them. However, it looks like you hold that the KJV is the "true word of God" while the NIV is not. If that's the case, I'm sorry to tell you, but you have a lot more homework to do. The KJV is no more the word of God than the NIV, the ESV, the NASB, or any of hundreds of other translations in English and other languages. The Bible was not written in 16th-century English.

Thank you for reading my post ☺ . My answers:
1. Hebrews is strictly written for the Jews. (That's where dispensationalism comes in, seems like I'm not the only one who has more homework to do 😂)
2. They aren't exactly my "comments" because they are written in the Scriptures.
3. KJV is the "True Bible". Because to be honest the niv corrupted the word of God. In the niv it misses verses whilst KJV does not. I have countless reasons as to why the niv bible is *not* the "true bible". If you wish to know more simply reply.

Also, I do not refer to myself as a, "churchian" all these names do *not* appear in the KJV Bible and that is to why i do not wish to follow it. But overall again thank you for reading and commenting.

I didn't suggest that "churchian" appears in any Bible; it's my own term, which is why I offset it with quotation marks.

Regarding your previous response, I would be happy to discuss these matters further with you, but only in the Bible Discussion forum. Also, I would encourage you to read through the many threads on the subject found there, and to read James White's book, The King James Only Controversy. :)

"churchians" shouldn't be a title for people who believe in what I believe in. We are called "Christians". No need for your term, I'm sure the rest of us would prefer to be called "Christians". Thank you, but I am going to have to decline your offer, regarding the 'james white book' since I don't read any other books other than, (of course) the "True Bible". Cannot wait to discuss things with you. ☺

I didn't come anywhere near calling you a "churchian". I made a clear distinction between genuine Christians and "churchians". :)

Building can not represent the whole church, it is just a symbolic symbol. You are right we are the body of church, church transliteration in Chinese language will be "clean wings". 澈翅 sounds cool, isn't it?

We all need to do a lot of homework about the Bible,Maybe your understanding of the Bible today is different from that of tomorrow.

Good lucky, may God guide you unto the true wisdom.

I don't know that I've ever met Anyone claim the church was a building, in 45 years.
Nor have I ever met anyone claim the NIV is the only correct version. It's only and always people claiming the KJV is the only true Bible. So much so that it often becomes an idol and an excuse to talk down to people and use God and the bible as a weapon against those who disagree.

You can't imagine God speaking in modern language? Guess what? The words in the Bible were not originally spoken or written in English, At All. The English language didn't exist during the time of the Bible. So by your own logic the use of English, even KJV English, is just as ridiculous of a notion.
God lives outside of time itself. He speaks to people where they are at, in the language they know. It's only mankind that puts silly limits on God such as how He would be limited to what language, or variation of a language, He can speak. Thats a human ideal foisted on God to force Him to fit into a box to adapt God to fit peoples view. No such concept is Ever presented in the Bible as the one you've put forth. Even in the KJV.
Also this
In fact the bible teaches to be "all things to all men". So might God speak in the way you claim He wouldn't? If that's what He has to do to save a soul, absolutely He would. Because God's focus is on saving souls and not silly, made up rules such as how He can and cannot speak.

Why would someone change God's word? And by change you mean translate. So you speak ancient Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic? Those are the languages of the Bible. Not English. So, again, using your logic, God's words have been changed to make the KJV. So are we to assume if you don't *understand* those languages then you have a problem? Those are your words.
Oh. And what about the bible in other languages besides English? Funny how much value you put on English from 100s of years ago as some Godly language.
The truth is God is beyond language. Including old English.

You just recently found out about New Age? I was about your age when I found out about it too, 30 years ago.

The bible was not written in 1010 😂

Church buildings are pagan? What do you call the temples and synagogues then? The ones the Jews used in the OT? This whole calling everything pagan thing is old news.

You come here talking about your intelligence, while missing Glaring mistakes in logic that has lead you to some amazingly bad conclusions.
You want to seem so biblically versed, yet lacking in humility.
And if people don't have the same capabilities as you, you treat them as idiots that don't deserve to know the bible. Lacking grace.
You came here to tell everyone else about their shortcomings while instead shining a light on your own.
