feeding hungry people is not communism.

It depends how you feed hungry people.
For example when there was an ideological rift before WW2 about this very topic, some ideologues like Karl Marx argued that the collectivization of ALL personal property being transferred to the state in order to feed 'the whole' would be a good idea.
As we found out about 50 years later, this was a terrible idea. Because first it always produces a dictator and second, all the people die from hunger too because the resources go to the dictator and his friends.

So, how you feed the people is important.

MADURO READY TO RESIGN

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro is open to a negotiated "orderly exit" in exchange for specific concessions.

These include:

- Full amnesty for him & his inner circle
- Removal of the U.S. $15–25M bounty on him
- Facilitation of a "quiet" exile to a sympathetic country, such as Cuba or Nicaragua, with lifted sanctions to ensure financial comfort.

A source familiar with Maduro's thinking is quoted as saying:

"If the US puts everything on the table, everything is also on the table with Maduro"

Accept, or just send a missile and kill him now, either way is a good option, but either way act fast, be decisive. Praise Jesus, if he will abide by the terms of being permanantly bound to the country he is exiled to this is an acceptable deal and a very unique recourse to a tragic and needless war. If however he is lying or it's determined he is too dangerous to be trusted, well just kill him now, why wait? Just strike him with a MOAB and flatten the whole block him and his circle are on and their blood be on their own heads and do not invade or nationbuild, let the Venezuelan people pick up the pieces on their own and assess the nature of the regime which next comes to charge with a fair hand and chance at concilation.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. In fact in a system of government such as described one can transfer funding totaling as much as 214 billion dollars from congressionally approved funding into a nest egg and never tell anyone where it went and then turn around a few months later and tell federal judges and the people they have no funding to pay 8 billion worth of SNAP to the useless food eaters without anyone even noticing it. https://doge.gov/savings

Uncle Joey Better Get Used to Bars

I thought this was God's mercy, giving everyone a chance to acclimate to the tribulation which is to come. Kind of like the first snow of the year.

This is a little different my friend.
First because we’re aren’t in a communist/socialist system where personal property has gone to the state but we are in the seasons of “reap and sow”.
Trump doesn’t want to waste money on Dem’s agendas and he simply wants to “stick it” to them for the very same reason they have been trying to “stick it” to him since the first time with the Russian hoax.
So if we are to compare apples to apples, this is the reason.
He also has a mandate and was chosen by the people because most are tired with the mental issues from the left.

But going back to HOW you want to feed people, we will see How Mandani will feed New York.
Will he use the expired Cold War model or will he use the new and updated Chinese model?

I honestly don’t think the ussr model will ever work in USA EVER but you never know. Stupidity has no bounds.

Even the Chinese abandoned that model after they saw the collapse of Soviet Union after the war and with a stroke of the pen they declared “being rich is glorious “. And thus ended socialism.

Guy's like Mandani who are 1628 miles from me may as well be a ruler on the other side of the planet(has nothing to do with the price of beans in Texas) but I understand your interest in him if he's in your backyard and if so good luck.

And if this is all over a private vendetta war between Joe Biden and Donald Trump who were born with silver spoons in their mouth's and have never went without eating a day in their lives they should just set up an arena somewhere, order take out and have themselves a rich mans food fight. There's no point in bringing retired elderly on SS , minor children and retired veterans or those living below poverty levels into their little vengeance war.

Totally agree my friend in regards to politicians and wars.
It’s the people who suffer not the leaders.
We just hope that there will be moments of awareness in societies where a politician will have the ethics and mindset to do (gasp) public service.
But as we can see with Mandani, people aren’t ready for normality.
So the counter reaction from a Mandani president (if that happens in the future) will be 10 times the Trump. :)
This is how it goes in history, always.

And in retrospect you should be grateful that USA is blessed with abundance though all these seasons of left and right.
I hope you know that the cost of living and abundance is better here compared to Mexico or Spain.
I know it’s a lot better than Greece, Albania or Italy.

He may not be influencing the price of beans in Texas but he might influence the price of real estate in Texas.

I don't know don't know about that abundance part this month. I'm retired on SS and have canceled an appointment to test for cancer by a specialist because the BBB doesn't cover all of it anymore and SNAP balance is still 0 dollars. So no even in Red Texas in the land of abundance my family is at the point where food, lights water and propane comes first and dr. visits, renewing drivers my license and buying my license plate are all on the back burner this month. It does make me wonder just how far two 80 year old disgruntle politicians could chunk a subway sandwich though. Chunk two this way we need them.

If you live anywhere close to the cities in Texas where jobs are 3 acres land alone in 100.000 dollars. If you go out to the less populated counties though Ive seen lots for sale for 4,000 dollars. Acreage can be had for 30 to 60 k(1-5 acres) but you might have to drive an hour one way to the grocery store or farther to find a job.

Oh and as our friend ZNP mentioned, I hope your governor will tariff some of these New Yorkers coming down your area @Squigglylines .
I mean they have the money after all.

He was joking. In another post I gave you a link of the laws regarding States, governors ect. not legally having the right to impose tariffs in the US it is only a power exclusively to congress which is why SCOTUS is reviewing Trumps tariffs at the moment(no President has the legal authority).

I have yet to hear anyone say "we all need to pay more" or "I need to step up and help support the local food bank".
Correction, this morning a brother told me their church was giving away boxes of potatoes (each box is 500 lbs). They want food banks and other churches to come and get a box.

"Ok Jack, here’s the deal. The gold is there but it is mired in a financial web of leases and loans. They are quietly unwinding all of that so they can move forward with a gold revaluation. Trump was naively making noise about a gold audit…Bessent and the finance cabal had to explain the situation to him and tell him to shut up about it."
