They weren't as prosperous as they were when they were buying cheap Russian gas. Now they can't be competitive. I just read about a German industrial city that has just become fully de-industrialized. Let's call getting rid of Russian gas the deconstruction of Europe.

What are you talking about, there were at least 1 million people at the Jan. 6th rally, that is far more than the number at any one of these protests, so it is very misleading to say "far fewer in number". Second the assaults and casualties were all committed by the cops, none by those who were arrested. Again very misleading of you. Third they have lied for four years about Jan 6th. We now know there were hundreds of FBI agents undercover in the protest. We now know that it was Pelosi who didn't ask for the extra security that Trump was offering. We know that it was the police who ushered the people into the building only to then arrest them for trespassing. That is entrapment. It was the police who killed several protestors. And the guy who placed the pipe bomb at the office where Kamala Harris was at and then talked to the police and to the Secret service that were parked there, he has never been apprehended. Hmmm.

EU is a group of political bureaucrats who wanted to counter USA politically in terms of economical power and in the process their heads got even bigger and now want to call the shots of how an island is run in Greece.
This makes sense.
Your general statement of competitiveness in the market is sort of a general statement which has nothing to do with the situation at hand while these bureaucrats want to play both sides.
