From a certain viewpoint it actually be a dream democracy, a truly exciting election. Trump vs Obama for all the chips and the third term, that would be both hype as well as a fair fight I would say.
I'm not so sure the current generation is "feelin" him anymore - the messianic overtures had their day. I'm kind of looking forward to them running someone like AOC to simply show us how lost they are. Plus, most of the tricks and crimes are outed now and some [to much?] of the $-schemes are being shut off. We're only a few months in so it'll be interesting to see how things proceed. It may well be hope against hope, but wouldn't it be great to see some of the key libs and some of the agencies' heads in cuffs? Of course, with the way things are, another mug shot another campaign poster.
Thank you President Trump for preserving the American culture!
I want to see English-speaking movies, not Chinese-speaking or other language speaking movies in Netflix.
Saw this earlier but didn't review it. Is the thinking that it be used based in not being able to deport US citizens to another country for such imprisonment? Is the DOJ still working at reinstituting the death penalty or whatever they need to do with it?
It seems it's kind of been happening for a while. But IMO there's been a pretty severe lack of sophistication (let alone commensurate resources) in "clean movies". Many of them have just not been that good. It seems to be slowly changing. But like any such business it's market driven and the market has had a long time to become perverted.

It seems it will just be used like it was used before, place for the worst offenders. Being an island in a bay has that benefit of isolation. While some of the alien invaders will be sent there, it'll be their worst, it's not ideal for holding all the invaders. As for death penalty I haven't followed any news on that. As for deportations actually I had seen that Trump may have some deals lined up and in the works with a bevy of African nations where we can send the wicked invaders to. The Rwanda talks are perhaps the most promising as under the radar Trump and his Administration, notably our golden boy Rubio, have been brokering peace with Rwanda and Congo and doing high stakes diplomacy with them particularly and actually having something of a pretty good relationship starting to form with Rwanda

Yes, I guess the issue I'll have to watch for is whether or not Alcatraz is mainly for US citizens because if they can be shipped off to foreign lands for cheaper imprisonment, then it seems we'd just be doing so. I saw something whether right or wrong that said that Alcatraz will be about 3x more costly to imprison. What's the point?
Interesting happenings anyway - bring back manufacturing - export criminals. IOW an exact reversal of the prior admin.

Well it'll be for the worst offenders whether citizens or alien invaders. That's how it was before. Remember while yes just invading the country alone is an act of high evil, a lot of the invaders are you know like cartel kingpins and such. In some cases it cannot really be trusted to send them back to their country or abroad. One thinks like El Chapo for instance might make an ideal case for permanant residence in Alcatraz.
Besides even the pragmatism, Alcatraz is ingrained into American culture pretty deep. Find this movie and watch it if you haven't before, you won't regret it, it's a classic.

Honestly, IMO, some of these criminals are better fitting for the saying I think was from some movie - send them to God and let Him sort them out. Thus, my reason for asking about the DOJ and the death penalty Pam Bondi said they were looking into bringing back. I wonder what the tab is for all of the prisons and all costs associated with imprisonments. It's got to be ludicrous. Someone should ask DOGE to tell us.

Saw it when it was first released and probably again sometime thereafter. I doubt young Clint and the character he played are broadly indicative of the types Trump wants to send there.

You're right but the reference was too good to pass up on, it's a great movie.
Well here actually just found this. Trump answers some questions and elaborates more on this recent news story of Alcatraz, the foreign propaganda tariffs, and more.

All I'm reading is Alcatraz is symbolic of a time of law and order. The 3x expense is largely because all supplies including fresh water need to be shipped in. Another "I guess we'll see" topic. Probably wouldn't hurt to put the symbol back in SF to get the ball rolling there. Maybe Pelosi can see it from her home.
