Why would you say that? He has paused the tariff on Mexico for a month because they are sending 10,000 troops to the border. Let's see if that helps. That is a lot of troops it has to help cut down illegals as well as drug mules and put a serious crimp in the drug cartels ability to smuggle drugs in while giving our soldiers and border security more time to deal with them trying to smuggle cash from the drugs over the border back to Mexico. This puts the drug cartels in a vice and could be devastating to them.
I would also point out that Canada's GDP is about 12% that of the US and half of what we put tariffs on from them we can get elsewhere and the other half we cannot replace immediately, but we can replace. Either by drilling more or building more electric generation. So for a few states this will be disruptive probably making energy more expensive for the short term.
But for Canada it will be catastrophic. This will crush their entire economy and if we replace their energy with out own energy produced in the US the ramifications for Canada will be long term. If Trudeau does not buckle under Canada will go into a great depression and won't come out of it for many years or else they will become the 51st state.
Also no one is going to buy that this was a trade war since Trump quickly put a month long pause on the tariffs with Mexico. If they can send 10,000 troops it seems Canada should certainly be able to do the same.
I would point out that the US can replace everything we import from Canada. Not immediately, but over the course of a year. If that were to happen the consequences for Canada would be devastating while for the US it will probably only mean a year of a few things being more expensive.
This is completely logical and loooong overdue.
It's simple math.
When i buy 10 things from you and you buy 1 thing from me, we have a trade inbalance.
So we need to reach an agreement where we buy from each-other equally.
Why do we want to do this?
Because i want to have 5 people in my country to make products as opposed to 1 things.
Simple, common sense and a breath of fresh air to be honest.
Because common sense has left the building since 1999, these ideas seem kinda shocking not only to old people like me who have forgotten what life was life 30 years ago, but the new generation has no clue at all.
Of course this isn't going to save America.
Only God can save America and the world.
What this is doing is correcting the mental consciousness of the public into the balanced zone again.
I think we can safely say that so far the Left has learned nothing and we are ensured for a MAGA path for 8 years or more ... if they continue like this.

People that are against using the tariff threat simply don’t understand the issue.
ALL these countries can sell almost anything in the USA, but we are restricted from selling on many many things, from food to cars with 100% tariffs on us.
I’m coming to the point that I now recognize President Trump as brilliant.
Continually creating what they are calling money out of thin air is not brilliant as this is nothing new.
Why are you complaining? No tariff with either Mexico or Canada. Both countries are going to put 10,000 people on their respective borders to help seal the border.
nope all it is is part of the theatrics where they watch everyone's reactions to the candy they toss about. That way they can convince the woke crowd into identifying themselves in the great coming out and at the same time toss candy to the J6 crowd and convince them into letting their guard down because they pardon them and watch them amass and identify themselves while celebrating whose in current power. Neither will enter the beautiful new cities being built after being identified by both political parties.

When he came out and said he wanted to change the Name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, I thought , "Oh boy, here we go with him occupying our time with silliness".
In the mean time, you have to look at Biden as Saruman in the Lord of the Rings. Not how Saruman was killed in the movie, but what he did in the Book.
Saruman was beaten and exiled from Orthanc by Gandalf. Supposedly stripped of power. But He didn't just go away. While the Ring was being destroyed, he slunk off to the Shire and proceeded to do as much damage to the wondeful land, people, and culture as was possible BEFORE the battle hardened Hobbits could return and cast him away forever.
That's the role Biden and the Democrats have played over the past 4 yrs. Destroying decency, the family unit, our energy and prosperity, and our culture.
A little before Biden was exiled, he signed an EO that was going to be very difficult for President Trump to overturn. It essentially put a moratorium on drilling for Oil in the Gulf of Mexico.
BUT, it said NOTHING about drilling in the Gulf of AMERICA!

And I was waiting for someone to point out that Biden's EO doesn't include the Western or central GOM where we already drill anyway but instead only the Eastern GOM the military uses for training and the wildlife refuge.
Not only that but it will help keep us safe from attack. The Russians and Iranians were planning on an assault from the sea, but all their maps say Gulf of Mexico so now they won't be able to find where the Gulf of America is!
