The agenda of the republicans and Christian nationalists is bigger than Donald Trump. He just happens to be the stooge they're using right now. If Trump loses they're not going away; they'll find someone else to play the part of Cyrus. This is what people have to understand. It didn't start with Donald Trump and it won't end with him.

They actually think that if they take over the reigns of political power they can evangelize America through politics. The US will become a "Christian nation" as they envision it, God will pour out His blessings and people will turn to the Lord in repentance in a mass revival. That's what Trump means when he says they're gonna fix everything so good Christians won't have to vote again.

Don't take my word for it, watch BAD FAITH: Christian Nationalism's War on Democracy.
I thought that word "Don't take my word for it" was very funny, thanks for that.

The ugly head of that organization already surfaced back in the George W. Bush era. Extremists should not be a part of the government.

What you have asked yourself is this "Is it FAR BETTER than the destructive Communist agenda of the Democrats?" Have you even read their platform?

see post #81

But let me ask you, if it does happen does that make everyone talking about 2029 and whether or not Trump will refuse to leave a false prophet?

Everyone has the right to have an opinion about anything, but the minute someone has an opinion about the Lord's soon return they are called a false prophet? Why is that?

Prior to the assassination attempt I said the Democrats would do whatever it takes to stay in power. Others disagreed. Why aren't you calling them false prophets?
They were setting dates, that's a no no, and if they are wrong then they are false. Why are you getting mad over his very true question?

Trump says

“ We’re going to have it fixed, so good you’re never gonna have to vote again”
Which is a totally idiotic statement to make on public media. The talking heads will be able to spin that any number of ways to their advantage.

Here we go again.

What is extreme about Project 2025?
Why does Trump say 1) He doesn’t know about them, and 2) He doesn’t agree with all their opinions?

Just one thing for starters: the entire executive branch will be under direct control of the president?

That’s extremism 101.

Both Project 25 and the communists are extremists and a threat to America.
Which shows your ignorance about Project 25. To defend and protect the Constitution and the liberties under it is not extremism in the least. The Constitution says that the government is a government of the people but you prefer government by the Deep State.

Here is what the Heritage Foundation briefly says about this project:

The Truth About Project 2025
The Left has spent millions fearmongering about Project 2025, because they’re terrified of losing their power. And they should be. Project 2025 offers a menu of solutions to the border crisis, inflation, a stagnant economy, and rampant crime. It shows how we can take on China, fix our schools, and support families. But most importantly, it dismantles the unaccountable Deep State, taking power away from Leftist elites and giving it back to the American people and duly-elected President.

Project 2025 is a historic movement, brought together by over 100 respected organizations from across the conservative movement, to abolish the Deep State and return government to the people. It was stood up in 2022, before any major candidate announced a campaign, to assist the next conservative president.
Project 2025 is not partisan, nor is it secret. Project 2025 does not speak for any candidate or campaign, in any capacity. We are an open book, with our materials available online.

So go to their website and educate yourself.

Does Anyone know of a true prophet today, like someone In the last 100 years for example?Any names?
Do you understand how contrary this question is to the word of God?

1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

1 Corinthians 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

1 Corinthians 14 is the only chapter in the New testament that tells Christians how to meet and it includes the prophets speaking two or three.

This word translated prophet means:
  1. in Greek writings, an interpreter of oracles or of other hidden things
So any Bible expositor would be considered a prophet.
  1. one who, moved by the Spirit of God and hence his organ or spokesman, solemnly declares to men what he has received by inspiration, especially concerning future events, and in particular such as relate to the cause and kingdom of God and to human salvation
    1. the OT prophets, having foretold the kingdom, deeds and death, of Jesus the Messiah.
    2. of John the Baptist, the herald of Jesus the Messiah
    3. of the illustrious prophet, the Jews expected before the advent of the Messiah
    4. the Messiah
    5. of men filled with the Spirit of God, who by God's authority and command in words of weight pleads the cause of God and urges salvation of men
    6. of prophets that appeared in the apostolic age among Christians
      1. they are associated with the apostles
      2. they discerned and did what is best for the Christian cause, foretelling certain future events. (Acts 11:27)
      3. in the religious assemblies of the Christians, they were moved by the Holy Spirit to speak, having power to instruct, comfort, encourage, rebuke, convict, and stimulate, their hearers

So then anyone who has a dream or vision would be considered a prophet.
  1. a poet (because poets were believed to sing under divine inspiration)
    1. of Epimenides (Tit. 1:12)

People who write Christian songs would be considered prophets.

1 Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

The prophets are speaking the word of God, According to Vine's word expository the word means:

"one who speaks forth or openly" (see PROPHECY, A), "a proclaimer of a divine message," denoted among the Greeks an interpreter of the oracles of the gods.

If you are witnessing of Jesus Christ and the things He has done then you are by definition a prophet.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Turn the question around, are there any false prophets in the last 100 years? Of course. Obviously. A false prophet is a counterfeit to a true prophet. There would be no point in having false prophets if we did not have true prophets. If you see more and more false prophets then know there are also more and more true prophets. Just like the wheat and tares growing together, they are both in the Lord's field, one planted by the word of God and one planted by His enemy. If the entire field were tares God would have simply burned it down, but because there is also wheat growing with the tares He lets them both grow together.

It already is. The President is the head of the executive branch. Do you believe our founders who set up the 3 branches of government were extreme?
Anything else?

Back to Civics 101... the Executive Branch is supposed to be under the control of the President.

The power of the Executive Branch is vested in the President of the United States, who also acts as head of state and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. The President is responsible for implementing and enforcing the laws written by Congress and, to that end, appoints the heads of the federal agencies, including the Cabinet. The Vice President is also part of the Executive Branch, ready to assume the Presidency should the need arise.

How and why exactly did this thread end up in the realm of prophets and prophecy?

How about staying a bit closer to the thread topic...?

Yes, they were setting dates. One person assured us the Lord's return would not happen in our lifetimes. That by definition is date setting.

I am not getting "mad". I simply will not sit by as people say foolish things. They think that someone who speaks about the Antichrist, or the Mark of the Beast, or about any of the prophecies in the Bible making up 25% of the Bible are "false prophets" while not realizing that accusing someone of being a false prophet is just as serious as being a false prophet.

I was disgusted by the discussion, that is true so I decided to hit them with both barrels, that also is true.

What disgusted me was this: Kamala can't win based on her record, she can't win based on the issues, and they don't want to talk about the very clear act of an attempted coup in the assassination attempt of Trump followed by the director of the SS stepping down and Biden dropping out. So instead they are talking about this absurd theory that in 2029 when Trump would be in his eighties, that he would refuse to step down. They pretend they are all "Christian" but in reality they are rejecting the Lord's word. He said not to take thought about tomorrow and hypothetical worries, but rather the issues of today are sufficient. We have an assassination attempt today, we have a coup taking place today, we have WW3 taking place today, we have a massive debt today, we have runaway inflation today, and we have 45 million illegals in the country with an open border today.

So I emphasized how we have more than enough to be focused on today rather than these idiotic tangential journeys. Think how foolish it is to be talking about what Trump might do in 2029 when today Biden is attacking the Supreme court. That is going on today. That should be what we are bringing to the Lord in prayer.

Joe Biden and Kamala are the ones defending democracy. They are 100% for rule of the people. Granted when they say "people" they mean Joe and Kamala and everyone that agrees with them. Obviously they are not referring to deplorables, irredeemables, and the 75 million domestic terrorists that voted for Trump.

I hate to say this but that is a really stupid remark. If freedom scares you, move to Cuba or China. Why do you continue to live in a country that has always upheld liberty and justice for all?
